I think we definitely need to be dipping into the transfer window in January or at the very latest the summer to look for a replacement over the next season or two. I think he will do fine this season but he just isn't going to keep up what he's done for the last few years in terms of style of play. He just can't.

It's also impossible when CAMs play triangles with DMs & the DMs pass sideways

If you've got a forward who runs the channels as well as anyone in the world, then it's pointless playing him if you're not going to look up & play the ball into the channels

Problem for us is, he's our only forward... all of the others we have need a forward to play alongside or in front of them (a bizarre situation to be in)

he'll be back to his old self when puel is gone

Think Jamie and Claude get on just fine.

He had a stinker and has been rusty all season to be honest but Vards will be back.

Giving him a contract until he is 35 is a bit naïve though for a striker who's main asset is pace... two years max at the

most before a serious decline inevitably happens.

I don't even think they don't get on, but he usually reacts quite well to dismissals

Probably based on loose and out of context quotes the nobhead journalists on the forum, trying to turn people against the mangers and players

So the negatives did turn out well...I hope the name-label on the mask was in focus,we will get thousands in advertising fees.

Mind you you sack extension ,left a plastic taste on my tongue, shame yours kept shrinking...:P

I believe this is Puels biggest challenge!!!

He doesn't want to be the one,to phase Vardy out quickly. I am sure he still sees Vardy as bloody good asset.

But the squad is damn short of another quality striker,to give space for those channels. Nacho still could be the one

who can base his career, with Vardy at his side. All partnerships need awhile...if not we have nothing in the locker...

it's a fact...Like it at not,Puel needs to tinker, with set up.Gray will also need 2-4 games before he is back in PL modus.

but first, our midfield have to get and keep on the front foot, for longer periods...When Maddison needs a break/float during games,

Ndidi and Mendy have to step into the breach....If not Iborra...a.n.oth.er have to be given their chance....

Totally irrelevant but here's a picture of me and pals on the lash over a weekend in one of Jamie's lounges. Rather special place, needless to say he wasn't living there then.

Our faces don't usually look like that btw

Looks like a terrorist hideout.

It's not just that is it.

His passing has been poor this season, his touches often let him down (see 1st goal conceded tonight) and he's missed big chances more often than he usually does (The numbers are out there)

He's not been playing well - it's hard to argue against that. A bit like Kasper last season. It's just how it is. Doesn't mean they're not appreciated etc....

I’m not saying it is just that. However, the lack of service is having an affect on him. We are in a difficult position right now, in that we are trying to establish a new identity which is effecting our consistency and subsequent performances. This will of course take time to master.

The problem right now is the key to releasing Vardy is Maddison. Other teams see that and try and get him off the ball asap, Puel is trying to combat this by playing two ball winning DM’s who individuallly are good but are still trying to master their own performances. This leads to a lack of good service and hinders Vardy’s 90 min performance and form. We are stuck between a rock and hard place as a result.
