Aside from the fact that a £15mil deal would be a massive £6mil club transfer record for Celtic and indeed a transfer record for any club in the Scottish Premier League making it very financially unlikely, I'm pretty sure Benkovic's understanding of the loan move will always have been short-term to get some experience at a decent standard in Britain and Europe.

 

£15mil also isn't enough to catch attention on £13mil investment who by all accounts has developed well and impressed this year.

It's great that Celtic fans are drooling about him, but Benkovic's value can only be properly judged when he plays for us in the Premier League.

Celtic have absolutely no chance of signing him whatsoever.

 

Their best hope is that we are so pleased with his development we loan him back for a second season before integrating him into our first team squad. 

 

I'd have him back next season though as one of our main central defenders.

£15m? Do they only want his left leg? Stupid jocks ain't got a clue! Almost as dilusional as the WBA fans who think they can sign Barnes. I'm sure we paid not far off £15m for him so why would we sell him for not much more than we bought him for when hes already a better player than when we signed him!

What is a 'big' club nowadays?   Check out the official Facebook site and Instagram etc., and maybe we are not that far behind Celtic in terms of 'hits?  We certainly have more financial clout:ph34r:.
