Well, despite my distinct lack of Xmas cheer, I’ve had some really thoughtful gifts.

A tofu making kit.

A hand-carved olive wood back scratcher.

And a selection of books (all from my Amazon book list).

Like the sound of that ?

Yeah, it’s just the job. I cook with tofu a lot but it’s really expensive and making your own is really cheap, quick and simple if you have the right equipment.

Only had one part of Xmas with another coming in a couple or days but so far hauled a fresh North Face backpack, some bath running recovery salts, voucher for Wellgosh, new boardgame, some soup pots and a book about cats for cats.

Most importantly the company and food was bless and had a banging red with lunch.

Muppet Christmas Carol at 4pm was decent as always.

I did pretty well this year, got a the standard lynx gift set, Jamie Vardy's autobiography, and the "football managers guide to football manager," with "football manager stole my life"

as well as a space ship on star citizen.

I got spoilt by my wife and other family but what gets me is seeing my kids open their presents and seeing them play all day. My 3 year old boy asked on more than one occasion “daddy why have I got all these presents” and when I reply “it’s because there are a lot of people who love you” he just smiles back and carries on.

Fantastic.

It is so interesting to see what people received and then to guess at the type of "person" they are. Some of the mouthy ones get presents for such young people (along with the obligatory alcohol).

Several nice books, and from my brother-in-law, a magnum of Chateauneuf-du-Pape.

All the good little Foxes seem to have asked Santa for the same things

A crate of Belgian beers, a map of Isla Nublar for the wall, clothes of varying descriptions, one of those event day boxes and tiny epic quest (a boardgame). Not bad.

It's not a real place, Bucey.  Pop into my DMs and I'll tell you something unbelievable about Santy Clause. :)

I’m well aware it’s not, Carl.

Then neither is the Scandinavia of your imagination...

Actually, Carl, that poses a philosophical question:

How can you have a map of somewhere that doesn’t exist?

Six points.

This is why the people saying Claude Puel should get the sack are absolutely right.

He should be given the sack every Christmas. He does a much better job delivering presents than that old fraud with the white beard and the red suit.
