Why bash people who have more than a reasonable argument to not want him as manager? I've said since the beginning (and in a previous post earlier today) that if we fall into a relegation battle ( which is what would happen if we lost the rest of our games funnily enough) then clearly things would need to be looked at and changes made. So you think that if we went say 5 games playing good football and then have 1 bad performance that's its he has to go? How is that reasonable? The football hasn't been the prettiest I get that. We are mid table so surely something is working otherwise we wouldn't be picking up points. Fans do not have 'more than a reasonable argument' when we are mid table . Argue with decisions etc ive got no problem with and will happily join in the debate but to say he should go (and be on the end of toxic abuse from fans) is a little premature. That's my view, which I believe is a 'more than reasonable' assessment of our situation. The way I see it, in my mind we are a mid table team trying to break into the European spots. If Puel still has us in that position whilst still trying to change our style etc then he is doing a decent job. Anyway this thread is turning into a Puel debate if I carry on so back to Tielemans. Looks to be a good signing so hopefully we get it over the line and it works out.
Alex_LCFC Posted 30 January 2019 Posted 30 January 2019 Sky sports comparing his stats to spurs centre mids. So Up there arse its unreal

If this is a genuine short term loan deal only not sure that helps us with development? Throw in to the mix it appears the only reason we have secured him over others is because of jardim wanting Silva. Doesn't sit well for me despite the lad having some obvious talent. Unless of course there is more to the deal. Will see... Maddison has been dog dirt since November

GeorgeTheFox Posted 30 January 2019 Posted 30 January 2019 How do we not have the money cos of ffp? Surely with Mahrez and Iborra sales are net spend isn't that high? Or is it to do with wages/ training ground

If it’s the case we’ll buy him in the summer then it would be a loan with an option to buy which it isn’t. Id also disagree with the notion that we need more players. We’re in no danger of getting relegated so why not just our faith in what we have, Hamza, Mendy and N’didi are decent enough as starters then we have cover if needed with James, King even Maddison if needed.

Have you seen any of our games against defensive-minded opponents? We have no creativity in the middle of the pitch. None of our center mids passes the ball forwards. Those three guys are all "decent enough starters", if they have somebody like Tielmans next to them who can start the attack. Playing next to each other they're fresh-poured concrete.

Andy King is not wanted, Puel is said it 100 times that we are trying to help him go to get game time. We might not be in trouble of relegation, but if we ended up playing Hamza and Matty James, we'd get battered every week and the manager would lose his job, fans would be screaming blue murder etc.

Hamza has proved himself good enough this season and if fit (unlikely I know) then James is good enough for the premier league.

I’ll wait for hamza to play a full season for us before calling him ‘good enough’. Yes he can tackle but his passing is just as limited as the other two.

My whole point isn't about not improving our squad. I would love tielemans just as a permanent deal or with a loan with an obligation to buy. It's just a loan with no option that I see as pointless as we are just developing another teams player when we have no need to. It'll turn into another Dragovic kind of loan in my opinion.

Brining in another young midfielder on loan will just block his opportunities.

The only way choidhury plays is if he gets in ahead of Ndidi. Ndidi - Choudhury is just too defensive imo.
