If so and you would rather this not happen and we are subjected to the remaining games with what we've got then i'm deeply disturbed. If this is drugs based and it makes you immune to the horrors of Ndidi and Mendy as a pairing then INJECT IT IN TO MY FCUKIN VEINS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think you really needed this transfer Ric I thought we all did tbf
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 30 January 2019 Posted 30 January 2019 I have no issue with the lad coming on loan. I am more concerned about why we can't move our expensive flops on (Silva, Slim Shady,Musa - eventually). Surely if Silva us never to wear our blue again we need rid permanently before his re-sale value is utterly shot?

Although if he's really good, we should be going for 7th I don’t believe any team should start a season aiming to finish 7th but I understand what you mean, I hope we sign him, he loves it here and plays brilliantly ?

The question is, would you rather we not have them at all given we only had a day or so on both occasions of getting in a badly needed midfield master before the window shut? Cambiasso was coming to the end of his career though this lad is just starting out. Defo need someone like him I just feel it will be a piss take if we can’t sign him if he does well, hopefully people have it wrong and we an option to buy.
Guest Electric Yetis Posted 30 January 2019 Posted 30 January 2019 Hope he makes the same late season loan impact as Paul Kerr.

Then our best player of the season ends up at Chelsea, Spurs or Man City. When your mam gave you half a packet of sweets did you just look at them and start bawling your wee arse off about what was going to happen to the other half? Eat the sweets.

dooflip Posted 30 January 2019 Posted 30 January 2019 I hope this does go through. Although I do feel no business apart from a loan signing shows a complete lack of ambition. i understand needing to tighten the belt to develop the training ground and stadium, but all that stuff is pointless if we don’t have a decent team. id much rather, as a fan who had a season ticket who pays to watch football, prefer we spent money on players. Our training ground is already good, better than many other teams in the league. Borrowing money we don’t have to pay for the new training ground is even worse.

HoustonFox Posted 30 January 2019 Posted 30 January 2019 Just caught up on 10 pages and for once it was worth the read (mostly). Looks like the deal is pretty much done and we saw @Costock_Fox as king of the penguins. I can confirm he is grey but he’s definitely wearing it well.

Mid table in the premier league = decent team. We won't attract better players if we don't have the infrastructure. In time this will differentiate us from the fellow upper mid table competition.

Jordan Posted 30 January 2019 Posted 30 January 2019 It's the Wednesday the 30th and the world wide web letters are still full of links to articles about Spurs attempting to hijack this deal media outlets speculating if Tielemans would be a good fit for Spurs Spurs fans planning their midfield with Tielemans in it Spurs fans wondering if Tielemans can go the other way when N'Koudou's deal with Monaco is done Spurs fans cursing Levy for not spending money to bring in Tielemans and fans of every other team wondering if their team can make a deal. I don't know what I'm missing, because in none of the links has there been any legitimate source with legitimate info that says Spurs (or any other club) entered into any sort of negotiations, got anywhere beyond an informal inquiry, or even made an inquiry in the first place. Everything indicates we're the only team that's even been quasi-serious about making a deal for Tielemans.

It's a balancing act, we have to grow the club is you ever want to be more than just another Stoke, West Brom, Middlesborough, Palace, Norwich etc size of club. The best you are going to get is bobbing about midtable until you make a mistake and go down. We don't have the money to make sure that never happens, growing the club is a step towards that. A step towards the size of clubs like Everton, who yes can get relegated. But are capable of spending decade after decade in the top division because they have that little bit more to spend and are a little bit more attractive than all the other clubs.
