TonyN11 Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 I See Don Howe is getting around 9% but hasn't he passed away?
Wymsey Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 John Still, plenty of managerial experience.. Seriously, would take Benitez or Rodgers.
TonyN11 Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 George Armstrong (1930s and before) Jimmy Leathers (1930s and 1940s) Ben Galloway (mid-1950s to 1973) - with some short gaps Mark Eckroyd (some of 1960/61) Percy Lidgett (some of 1967/68) Taffy Morgan (1968 caretaker) Tony Storme (1973–1975) Roy Race (1975–1978) Ben Galloway (some of 1978) Roy Race (1978–1982) Sir Alf Ramsey (1982 caretaker) Roy Race (1982–1983) Blackie Gray (1983) Roy Race (1983–1992) Mervyn Wallace (1992 caretaker) Ralph Gordon (1992–1993) Roy Race (1993) Blackie Gray (1993–1994) Mervyn Wallace (1994–1996) Roy Race (1996 – ??? ) Looks like Blackie Gray or Mervyn Wallace might be available. Unless we can prise away Roy from Melchester...

I'd love him back as caretaker, see how he gets on with a view to the full time role. Probably because he's just been failing in the Belgian second tier, having previously failed in the championship. **** nostalgia, he's not good enough
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 I put Rodgers, but I wouldn't be surprised if was someone not on that list.

We want to climb the table, not crash down it.
Crispin LA Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Daniel Farke seems to doing wonders with Norwich, they top of the Championship. He seems a up and coming young manager who destined for a big club.
The Wizard Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 The next Leicester manager is...... The dressing room... cause it always goes back to that.. just let the players manage themselves... what could possibly go wrong...!

In reference to Nigel Pearson he has built the title winning squad and developed us from a league 1 side to a premier league winner. Probably our most consistant manager in recent years. I would have him back in a heart beat
Poznan34 Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Marco Rose, Salzburg boss. Doing very well, young, attacking football, on the up.
LCFC FOX Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Pearson, Shakespeare and Walsh until the end of the season isn’t unrealistic. Then take Rodgers in the summer. Walsh can go back to his old head scout job long term as well.
Nickfosse Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Interestingly, I’ve just read that when Brendan Rodgers was linked with the Reading job while he was at Watford he told the media that his “sole concentration was on Watford”. A couple of weeks later he’d moved on. Apparently he said the same today to the media when questioned about Leicester. I suspect it’s who we end up with, but he wouldn’t be my choice.
maddog Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Celtic have been abysmal in Europe this season and many Celtic fans have showed unrest towards Rodgers due to lack of European progress and poor style of play. I don't know what his football philosophy really is and its definitely not attacking. Don't want him.

mozartfox Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Just woke up and cannot be bothered to trail through all this. If Marco Rose has not been mentioned, I think he would be worth a sounding out. Done a great job at Salzburg.

Gubbins Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 I really don't get the love for Eddie Howe. Leaving aside his failure at Burnley and the relatively small size of Bournemouth as a club, he's spent an absolute fortune and achieved little more than mid table mediocrity in the league (which is apparently boring and not good enough for Leicester) and nothing in the cups (Ditto). Its not like we have a vastly superior squad to Bournemouth either. Furthermore he has managed a long stretch of poor results each PL season, they can't currently win an away game to save there lives and he seems to really struggle to get a solid and organised defence. He'd last 18 months here at best!
Hanan96 Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Let the caretaker manage us for few games then look at bigger names after months. This way we can get twice new manager bounce and better manager. None of above are really ambitious.
Deeg67 Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 Whoever we bring in now, I hope it's absolutely clear that it's a caretaker role only. You don't want to get suckered in by the almost inevitable new manager bounce and commit to a guy like we did with Shakespeare, who was clearly in over his head. "Auditioning" a manager is the worst possible plan, because this isn't a representative sample. We're probably not getting relegated so just bring in somebody to make sure the gas doesn't get left on and the house blows up. Much better pool of candidates in the summer.
fuchsntf Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 If our management can come out with some hidden gem... Any of the above.. I still might get excited with Appleton...clean sheet and all that!! in the end,who ever it turns out to be,imaginative/exciting or not he gets my support, but he will have to be communitive...with a bit of a sprinkle of a twist of... oh !!! And fking mad!! And don't ever expect a or

It’s not as black and white as doing well at one team and poor at another, any manager we attract will have some failure attached to them it’s the nature of management. What’s the danger in giving it him till the end of the season? Knows the club inside out and would be popular with the players, if he’s poor get a high profile in the summer. Although it’s unlikley as I think he doesn’t get on well with Rudkin.

Benitez for me, good pedigree and defensive maybe because of what he has to work with? Don't get Eddie Howe really, he comes across as if he should be managing Cambridge...for the boat race. Would take Rodgers too I suppose. What about the Leeds manager?

They love him but get frustrated at the slow, possession based football with too many sideways and backwards passes. This is folk who watch him week in week out...
