Foxhateram Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 First interview that I've been able to watch without falling sparkers for 18 months!!!! Good appointment, happy with it. And glad we've got one over Celtic after they stole our Messiah!! How times change! I look forward to a Vardy party tonight!
Sharpe's Fox Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Pearson, Ranieri, Brodge. Three legends imo.
Tielemans63 Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Best thing about this is the reaction of Celtic fans on Twitter

Filberts lovechild Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Excellent appointment. Plays the way we like to play, gives youth a chance, knows Benkovic well for next season coming back from Celtic. Only worry is his transfer business, get Steve Walsh back in and we’re going to be right back up there

49er Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Brendan's to-do list Move on - Morgan, Simpson, Fuchs, King, James, Okazaki, Slimani, Ghezzal, Diabate, Kaputska,Silva.Maybe Iheanacho and Mendy. Sounds drastic, but major surgery is required. Try everything to sign Tielemans - offer them Silva + £10m. Replace Maguire - highly likely that he will leave, particularly if someone comes in with a ridiculous offer (£50m+). Hold on to Chilwell - unlikely to leave, but the likes of Arsenal and Spurs could be in for him. Decide whether we need to retain a £12m goalkeeper, as a back up. What's the point of spending so much? Decide whether Gray has what it takes to really make an impact next season. Transfer policy - move away from trying to sign players from abroad and focus on those who are proven at this level. Looks at the likes of Lewis Dunk, Shane Duffy, Aleksandar Mitrovic etc. Develop Harvey Barnes so that he fulfils his potential. Finish in the top eight.

Who knows we could win the league again He was very closed to doing it with Liverpool.

I really do believe Brendan Rodgers will take us up a lot of notches and push us towards the promised land of top 6. I really do believe he can get top 7 and push that ceiling. Really very happy today. It ain't a world of what manager Is available?

Couple of points Benkovic returning from loan at Celtic albeit injured for now. Vardy replacement, possibly Che Adams. Kasper, starting to think he’s on a downward trend so maybe bring Ward in more?
ThingsCouldGetMessi Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Delighted to see Brendan become our new manager. I don't honestly think there was a realistic option who would have been better. It is now time for the club, the players and the fans to all get behind him.
Monsell1976 Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Seems the type of manager that takes no nonsense, can see him getting rid of a few fans favourite’s, and take control of the dressing room. He’s probably the best we could get, experienced premier league, plays from the back but not at pedestrian pace of puel. Could be exciting times, he must have been impressed and given some serious promises regards transfers to give up winning the treble in Scotland considering how long is left of the season.
LCCFox96 Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Looking forward to seeing how this plays out. He comes in with a great reputation for stamping his identity on a team, top coaching skills and has the ability to build on our growth into a possession style of football. Good to get back to winning ways tonight and roll on Watford away on Sunday for his first game! Welcome Brendan
Wymsey Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Think he'll bring much-needed authority on the players, whilst inviting them to carry on focusing on the attacking intent that LCFC was known for during the title-winning season. This'll be a fresh start for all and seems a grounded individual to lead the squad. - Whenever I see the name Brendan on here, it automatically reminds me of Brendan of Coach Trip for a second..
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Brilliant news. Can't remember the last appointment that unanimously United our fans so well. Think he'll do excellently here.

To be fair, there wasn't much to shout about under Claude. Even people supporting him only did so because of his 'long term plan'. And this was after being in the relegation zone under Shaley and Ranieri. We've had some rotten appointments since winning the league but this appears to be a step in the right direction. We shall see!
