Babylon Posted 7 March 2019 Posted 7 March 2019 Mans made a fortune off the back of the title win with all these contracts and pay offs
David Guiza Posted 7 March 2019 Posted 7 March 2019 Either going to be a beautiful swansong for the native Roman going home, or it's going to blow up in his face. I fear the latter.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 March 2019 Posted 7 March 2019 Good luck to Claudio Long Live Ranieri love the man and what he achieved at our beloved club forever in our hearts

ozleicester Posted 8 March 2019 Posted 8 March 2019 A good year or two with the hometown? club.. what a way to retire. Good luck Claudio
Outfox the Fox Posted 8 March 2019 Posted 8 March 2019 Looks like Claudio has made a swift return to management:- https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/teams/leicester-city/11658380/ranieri-arrives-ahead-of-roma-move
Guest TaggertvsWise Posted 8 March 2019 Posted 8 March 2019 Why can't he just retire and preserve some sort of legacy....

Guest MattP Posted 8 March 2019 Posted 8 March 2019 It's becoming absolutely farcical this, what is going on.
Voll Blau Posted 8 March 2019 Posted 8 March 2019 Really hope he gets to leave this one with dignity on his own terms. Just don't see a happy ending though sadly.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 8 March 2019 Posted 8 March 2019 Good luck to him, I have a feeling he'll need it. Should have retired when we lifted the trophy imo.
foxy boxing Posted 8 March 2019 Posted 8 March 2019 He'll be hoping to be like Caesar and conquer Rome but will most likely get stabbed in the back like Caesar. Hope it goes well for him
The Horse's Mouth Posted 8 March 2019 Posted 8 March 2019 Happy for him, said either Roma or retire when he got sacked. I do think this wont end any different to the other jobs though, that Roma job is a tough one atm
Finnegan Posted 8 March 2019 Posted 8 March 2019 Go on Claudio one last hoorah. Fingers crossed for him.
David Hankey Posted 8 March 2019 Posted 8 March 2019 All the best Claudio, I hope it all works out well for you.
don_danbury Posted 8 March 2019 Posted 8 March 2019 sacked from 3 jobs in the space of just over 2 years. surprised they went for him.
VLC86 Posted 8 March 2019 Posted 8 March 2019 Absolutely love this, I’ve been waiting for him to take a decent job in a city worth a visit since he left us. Roma must be a bit mad though but less mad than Fulham were in their situation.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 8 March 2019 Posted 8 March 2019 What on earth are Roma playing at? Pleased for Claudio but he must be one silver tongued bastard in interviews.
ScouseFox Posted 8 March 2019 Posted 8 March 2019 tbf nobody really loses if they only keep him until the summer. out of the champions league and about 800 points behind juve, might inspire them to finish in the CL places, if he doesn’t they’ll just blame whoever was their manager for the other 2/3rds of the season. if he does manage to move them up the table then he’ll be a hero. pretty easy gig. cannot see him doing very well, tho.
Chester Dontlie Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 He was their player for a brief while and manager for couple seasons so that must've played a role. They aim for the CL spots, they've been underperforming most of the season. Their previous manager alienated the supporters by playing old out of shape and form players like Kolarov, they were humiliated by Lazio and Porto kicked them out of Europa League. Add to that their sports director was sacked, so they are a mess and appointing CR as an interim doesn't sound like it's the worst they could do. It would require a mixture of managerial skill, motivation and luck (their rivals slipping) to climb up the table. I doubt they will keep him after the season ends but hope I'm wrong and he'll do exceptionally well there. All the best Ranners!
