When was /is the programmes completion date.

Not that relevant now with the overrun but I would imagine contact clauses covered this type of 'act of god' even though I am not a believer as such

Doesn’t look as ready as it should .....apart from the pitches which are no doubt our groundstaff’s responsibility

Original date for moving in was July 1st. Doubt we'll want to disrupt the squad towards the end of this season now so expect we'll move in in the pre-season for next season whenever the hell that is.

Fair enough everyone would have been at home down saffron lane(or in Dubia)july 1st anyway.Lets assume it should be ready to go say end of August which is if achieved will be a pretty good outcome.

And obviously our players will be inspired to new heights of achievement and will win the league by 20 pojnts next season

It seems that pre season won’t commence until after mid August - the European comps will be concluded that month which means the domestic leagues won’t restart until mid sept

so the completion delay towards or perhaps into August won’t be so important

More time to get the greens sorted !

6 week behind programme is quite incredible going when they had a self-imposed delay because Thai Monks wanted to bless the steels. Then there was heavy rain and Coronavirus.

There will be a late clause - contractor has to ask for extension of time and then architect or project manager has to consider if that's fair. If the delay isn't reasonable, penalty clause will be the loss sustained to LCFC pretty much - which would be interesting to see how that's added up.

the penalty clause (no pun)will be in the contract at x per week but any company worth their salt will have any numbers of surveyors working on the reason for delay, lack of client information, weather ,monks.act of god(virus) etc .they should get away with six weeks.

then theres the next job to consider relationship between the parties.ie.stadium

The current circumstances would constitute a reasonable delay surely? Especially as the start of next season is delayed. The six week delay will still have it completed before preseason, however that's going to work with the season extended.

Hopefully any delay will be resolved amicably. There will no doubt be fixed liquidated damages payable by the contractor built into the contract for any delays, however, the same will apply in respect of claims for extension of time payments to cover additional costs incurred due to delay beyond the contractors control (eg coronavirus inclement weather etc). and/or the club or its architects specifically varying the terms or requesting additional works not in the original scope (this is almost guaranteed to have happened as it does on practically every job i have ever worked on) so it will probably even itself out.

Hopefully we do not see a situation similar to the one when the stadium was built, where the contractor walked away leaving a mountain of snags because the club refused to meet their (in their opinion) reasonable additional costs. Obviously times were different then and the club was going into administration. I would like to think that we are better organised and fairer to deal with these days.

How are Forest Hill Golf Club doing now, do you know, under its new ownership team (heard Laki had enough and left there last year)?

Swathe of new complaints about the club’s application to change to one of the conditions of development - which essentially prohibits us from moving in to the ground until there is work done to improve the junction. The club are claiming that COVID19 has prevented that from happening.

If you read the last few pages I've placed a lot of planning approved and planning related docs for the junction. Put simply, it isnt going to affect us.

Recent letter from locals whining about the bridleway that they have walked along it for 40 years, but then say that it's been impassable for several years recently, would add over half a mile from their journey to Ratcliffe College and that they just don't like the new route:
