Bobby Hundreds Posted 15 August 2019 Posted 15 August 2019 That is the worst review I have ever seen.
The People's Hero Posted 15 August 2019 Posted 15 August 2019 Jofra Archer batting with no arm guard and wearing his flash watch!!
Corky Posted 15 August 2019 Posted 15 August 2019 Can't we just give them the series and enjoy our World Cup win?
EastAnglianFox Posted 15 August 2019 Posted 15 August 2019 We are so easy to bowl against, they literally know every one of our batsmen's weakness and our lot still continue to fall for it time and time again...brainless!

And how do you approach trying to win the game having lost a day? Not sure what the forecast is for London tomorrow but it’s supposed to be horrendous here, take a draw from this if we lose tomorrow to the rain and take them up north and try again there.

Rain from 2pmish, then set in all day. They must be slightly miffed they’ve let our lower order score another 120+ runs.
EastAnglianFox Posted 15 August 2019 Posted 15 August 2019 Another day we can't see out with the bat....at least we get an hour at them tonight then

So worst case scenario is Australia bat till it rains tomorrow, then bat all day Saturday leaving Sunday to bowl us out. For England to win now considering the forecast we will have to bowl them out very cheaply.
Guest MattP Posted 15 August 2019 Posted 15 August 2019 Competitive total that I think. Huge part of the match coming up, we could do with knocking two over tonight.
RowlattsFox Posted 15 August 2019 Posted 15 August 2019 Problem with Bairstow batting at 7 is if he does get in he gets left with the tail. Not the best score obviously but enough to think there is a chance. Goes without saying we'll need wickets early and Smith to fail.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 15 August 2019 Posted 15 August 2019 Not sure I’d want to chase many on this, already turning off the deck. If Australia post 400 plus, could be curtains, on the flip side if we can eek out a lead of 150-180, it would make Sunday v interesting.

Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 15 August 2019 Posted 15 August 2019 Broady definitely has the beating of Warner this series
Guest MattP Posted 15 August 2019 Posted 15 August 2019 I know we are excited about Archer but giving him the new ball over a bowler who averages 9 here???

I'm still not over Woakes only bowling a few overs at his home ground too - whilst Denly and Root were bowling for eternity.
UniFox21 Posted 15 August 2019 Posted 15 August 2019 I'm a bit confused as to why we're given wides for the high bouncing balls when we're replicating what the aussies did?
Finnegan Posted 16 August 2019 Posted 16 August 2019 Mad the difference in Warner between the WC and now. I know different formats but that's no excuse.
Guest MattP Posted 16 August 2019 Posted 16 August 2019 This match reminds me of the wonderfully oracular thing Richie Benaud used to say. "The hallmark of a great captain is the ability to win the toss at the correct time"
ealingfox Posted 16 August 2019 Posted 16 August 2019 If we can't take advantage of this we need to call it off now. Couldn't ask for better bowling conditions.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 16 August 2019 Posted 16 August 2019 I'd have still started with Woakes this morning.

Bobby Hundreds Posted 16 August 2019 Posted 16 August 2019 Get Smith before lunch and it's really game on.
ScouseFox Posted 16 August 2019 Posted 16 August 2019 what a decision that was, half way up middle stump nowhere near the bat. good effort.
David Guiza Posted 16 August 2019 Posted 16 August 2019 Don't think you needed a lip reader to see what Stokes said there, and I don't blame him!
