Sibley Burns Some ****er that can bat at 3 Root Stokes (c) YJB Foakes (wk) Woakes Archer Broad Leach Rebuild time. Agree with most of this still don't believe Buttler is test player, in the main he seems to score his runs when England are already in a good position. i'd go with the following: Sibley/Crawley Burns Pope/Northeast/Hain/Bell-Drummond Root Foakes/Bairstow (WK) Stokes (C) Woakes Curran Archer Broad Leach Persons named first would be my first choice but are interchangable, plenty of batting through to Archer/Broad & Stokes can be 5th bowler so can focus on Captaincy and not pressure on himself or body. On another note i love the brutal honesty of Geoffrey Boycott on the state of the test game during today's tea break, think the ECB should take note instead of chasing the money and pushing the Hundred.
Lionator Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 Out of all the batsman in this game, Labuschagne has played the most county cricket this season. It's surely no shock that he's the top scorer by a distance from both teams.
Md9 Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 It’s ok Australia all out for 300 England bat for 2 days and win can just see it now 😂😂😂
UniFox21 Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 Our fielding has been piss poor today. Absolutely woeful, most of that team need to look in the mirror and have a word with themself.
AKCJ Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 When you've pissed your first innings up the wall you surely have to make a statement with your fielding? This is ****ing woeful. Complete lack of determination other than Stokes. Root sits there in slip with his hands in his pockets and his head down. Sends out a terrible message.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 Bwahaha. Paine reviews his way from lbw to caught out.
purpleronnie Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 smith might struggle to get back in. Labuschagne the new danger man.
Bert Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 Matthew Wade out unlucky in both innings. You love to see it. Also love Athers referring to ultra edge as “Snicko” still.
Lionator Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 Another 50 will be too much for England. They've got enough now but there's no way England are getting 300+ against that bowling attack.
Guest MattP Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 That spell from Stokes was sensational, gave it everything he had.
EastAnglianFox Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 I imagine Root is in the changing room now giving every one of them the hairdryer treatment...........

AKCJ Posted 23 August 2019 Posted 23 August 2019 Just give him sports personality right now. What a man
Leicester_Loyal Posted 24 August 2019 Posted 24 August 2019 We've simply been outclassed with the bat this series.
Guest ttfn Posted 24 August 2019 Posted 24 August 2019 Fielding has been absolutely pathetic as well. No good “oohing” and “aahing” every time the ball passes the outside edge if the keeper and slips couldn’t catch a cold.
Lionator Posted 24 August 2019 Posted 24 August 2019 Aggers and Vaughan saying on TMS that there's too many counties which is to blame for the current problem. I don't think they could be more wrong.

SouthStandUpperTier Posted 24 August 2019 Posted 24 August 2019 The simple fact is that the 4 day game is being marginalised in favour of shorter forms of cricket. And guess what? We're suddenly good at one-day cricket and rubbish at test matches. Funny that.

I don't think they could be more wrong. They've been talking about this for years. The first division has two fewer teams, they've cut the amount of Championship games from 17 in 1999 to 14 now. The best play against the best. They aren't dragging the players from the bottom of Division Two. Surrey and Yorkshire take up most of this team.

yorkie1999 Posted 24 August 2019 Posted 24 August 2019 Root needs to be telling his bowlers to bowl plenty of aggressive stuff now.
