Word on the grape vine is that he's off to Saudi at the end of the season.

Apparently his Mrs is out there now looking at houses and schools.

Can she stay there

It would be good to have his presence around the club it can only be beneficial, but if its on the condition he's first choice striker

No , it would be time to move on which is exactly should have happened this season

What benefit does he bring?

Needs to refill the coffers after spending it all on legal expenses

I saw him do nothing as captain last night. You used to be able to say he led by example, which i suppose he did.

The GOAT, no question, and my favourite player of all time too. But he's outstaying his welcome and become part of the problem. He has to go at the end of the season.

With love, thanks & best wishes. But go.

Genuine question

Is Vardy partly complicit in what has happened to us over the last 3 years?

Too cosy with Top?

Where is his drive and ambition to not be a complete joke as a team?

I have never seen him dig the team out and that's incredible considering sone of the absolute filth we've been serving up.

Should he be fronting more?

I agree. No doubt he led from the front as a top striker, but that is different to being a leader. When he had Wes, Huth, Kasper, Fuchs etc further back, they did all that and he had his job.

Since they all departed, and we have never brought in similar characters, there has been an expectation on him as a senior player that he is captain and leads by example. That has never been his strength and that’s not a criticism of him.

He has been like no other for us. Literally the great ever. But he does need to move on. I hope he gets a chance out in the MLS. It will suit him.

And at the end of the last home game, whoever is still left (in the stands), I hope Vardy and any of the youth players (Evan’s, Monga etc) come round and get well received. With the rest to get absolute abuse. Well a bit hard on a few like Bilal, Mavididi and Stolarcryk who will hopefully be key for us next season.

This has crossed my mind too. There's no doubt he's the GOAT, but i think Vards still being at the club makes the club rely on what has been, and encourages the behaviour of others.

We need a clean break. A complete refresh and that includes Vards. It's sad that it had to end like this, but as a club we need to move on from a 38 year old striker and start fresh. Board level first, but i do think this is the last few games of a living legend.

Not complicit at all for me. He isn't responsible for player/manager recruitment and contracts which is where the core of our problems lie. The responsibility firmly lies with Top, Ruskin and recruitment.

That said please don't give Jamie a new playing contract. It's time to say thanks for the memories and move on.

Not really had much from him at all other than when he was interviewed after the game at Leeds basically slating Rodgers for benching him, that’s got to be 2 years ago when Smith came in for the last 6 games or whatever it was.

Whilst we are unlikely to see another player like him, and there are calls to keep him from a number of fans, personally I think it’s time.

I think RVN is actually frightened of dropping him! Ok he doesn’t have much competition but there’s just something that doesn’t add up.  I don’t think the drive has gone, but he’s definitely too close to those above and that can’t be a positive if you are a striker looking to move to somewhere like us next season, knowing that the clubs best player for the last 10 years has that internal power to turn heads at higher level.

We’ll never know, but he could have even picked the team at Brighton 😂

Time to move on. He is more a hinderence now than a help. I think he realises that himself deep down. Thanks for being our greatest ever player. Maybe one last key goal at the City ground to break some West Bridgeford hearts as we stink the place out for a point.

I think my comment was more aimed off the field and for saying he's our top man we hear nothing from him really.

When you think how non existent Vardys comms with the support has been over the years you realise how closed the club actually is.

I think he's too close to the person responsible for this mess and as a result he's almost endorsed it.

I do see very little leadership on the pitch as well.

I had the weirdest dream the other night.  Vardy signed for Ipswich Town on a free.  For some reason I was somewhere around their training ground, exchanged a few pleasantries with their fans and saw Vardy sitting up at a bar on his own.  I went over to him, sat down, introduced myself as a Leicester fan, thanked him for everything, offered to buy him a drink.  He blanked me, ordered himself a drink, necked it and walked off.  Not a word from him.  Which I thought was a little rude.

Never meet your heroes!

Yeah, there are elements of it.

To be honest, I hope he gets to 200 with two more goals then we part ways. Clinging on forever won't help.

Be nice to see him do that before the end of the season, even if its a couple of penalties.

Little bit of hope we both Southampton and Ipswich coming up at home.

Giving JV another contract is exactly the sort of misguided loyalty this Board shows, and is a big factor in our decline.

Let our greatest ever player leave one season too late, don’t make it 2/3!

Absolute legend, and always will be.

As much as i dont blame him in the slightest for this season, he's no less to blame than the other 10 players who continue to 'represent' our club.

If there wasn't the name 'vardy' on the back of his shirt,  hes been as useless as any of the others.
