it pains me to say my favourite player of all time is probably finished at this level, I knew he had lost a yard of pace but his finishing has also been sub standard this season.

Look the same way as he did under Puel.

Maybe, difficult to be pragmatic right now with recency bias, but that looked pretty poor indeed and I do not recall such a miss under Puel

Lost his ruthlessness, and for me this was his major skill.

Said it at the weekend but he looks like he's going Through the motions. Whether that's because of Rodgers or he's just lost his motivation, I don't know.

More his demeanour, then the misses.

He's definitely done and we knew when that time came it would be the demise of Leicester City for a generation.

It's been good.

We've rode on his back for 10 years.

Thank you Vards for the great times.

He's about done and it's over for us.

We are going back to being insignificant

Shouldn't have been allowed to happen. Terrible management from club. Whilst it was only a cameo, time and time again they have to turn to him.

Precisely, if Brendan hadn't frozen certain players out and didn't stop start some players, better manage others we wouldn't have had to rely on Vardy to get us back in games when we are losing

Vards is nearly done but could have scored a couple tonight and we'd all be raving about him.

He missed, it happens

Mr Kane fooked it a few weeks ago.

Need to give Daka more time and some support up front , though

Wouldn't be surprised to see him retire end of season. It must be humiliating having thousands of people singling you out every week for ridicule. His mates barring albrighton have all left. He's in a team which has zero camaraderie. If he goes to the US his life will become a circus again. This wasn't the way it was meant to end 😞

Still made more happen the the rest.

Doesn't look happy, look disinterested

Would normally be angry with himself missing a chance like that, didn't look bothered.

TBF he punched himself in the head and shouted "F🤟🤙k  Offff!!!!"

He's seen enough runs like this to know he'll bag a few soon but it really does look like he's on the decline now. If the pace goes, you need to at least poach a few and those aren't going for him.

I don't know how much more time we can give him. Does well with Nacho behind him but this is 18 months in and he still doesn't look clinical. Premier League strikers don't square it to a player in a worse position. If he doesn't make double figures in the Prem this season he might end up in the summer clear out to free up funds.

For me, his age doesn't explain the very poor finishing he's shown of late. Maybe his heart isn't in it anymore.

I'm not so sure that is the case to be honest. For me in the past when he has been in a poor run of form he has been a guaranteed starter for us so he was always able to play his way back into form but now that he is only getting 30 minutes here and there combined with the odd start he just doesn't have the same amount of game time to turn things around.

Said it a few times but i think his bimbo of a Mrs and all her recent antics have finished him tbh. No possible way he can be fully focused on football with all that shite going on in the background. Looks like hes aged 10 years since last season

Maybe he should see the club psychologist...oh wait

Disagree. His Mrs was the best thing that ever happened to him. She's the driving force of his absolute professionalism. He arrived a vodka, skittles and red bull man. He's been a complete pro since she got hold of him.

She may be many things, but she's ambition and guts personified

Amazing some of the things you can and can’t say on here these days.

You mean his wife? The woman he loves? Mother of his children? One who he’d be the first to admit has helped him become the pro he is today?

You only have to see his reaction to the fan banter to know he couldn’t care less about the media circus around the Rooney trial.

The reason he’s not playing well is there’s no one and nothing to motivate him to do so at the club anymore. Oh and the fact he’s ageing and didn’t have the conditioning of a player coming through from a youth set up!

Time was always going to catch up with him. We’re all just sad about it and it’s clearly making some people say unnecessary misogynistic crap.
