I listened to the 5live commentary when we beat chelsea at Stamford bridge last season and he didn’t have a clue about us. If a chelsea attack broke down he’d go on about what the chelsea forwards had done wrong, if we had a good attack he’d talk about what the chelsea defence had done wrong, his whole perspective and focus was chelsea, until about the 88th minute when he said we’d played well. Things like this don’t usually annoy me but it was so obvious and as a result really poor one sided commentary. Its amazing that that they get away with it, any other journalist in any other field who did as little research in there supposed field of expertise and showed such a basic lack of knowledge would get no where, ye5 because they are ex pros there treated as though they’re the all knowing oracle by media outlets. I don’t mind controversial opinions or different interpretations but to know do basic research on what you are expected to be knowledgable on is just laziness an arrogant. Agreed. The standard of opinion of a lot of ex pros is ****ing diabolical. Mills is useless and his colleagues ought to be having a quiet word. 1

Foxxed Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Praise the footballing gods: extra time! There's not some first goal wins it bullshit, is there? I want two 15 minute halves of extra time on a poor pitch in exhausting weather with the kind of emotionally helplessness that takes years of therapy to remove. And then I want penalties and ideally lots of penalties so many penalties the officials have to check the rulebook for an upper limit, and I want to see actual tears of exhaustion from the players, some of them openly praying for an end to it all. And maybe an injury. But I'm not a greedy man.
st albans fox Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 So Chelsea will have Friday and Saturday to prepare we will have had all week - no excuses not to be tactically ready for Sunday .......
st albans fox Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 And now they have to chase the game for perhaps twenty five mins .....

UniFox21 Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Shock horror Liverpool legend thinks penalty against Liverpool was wrong
CosbehFox Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 (edited) I know it’s assisted us with the Chelsea but find it bizarre Liverpool will be playing again on Saturday, 3pm. Surely would have made sense for the Chelsea and Liverpool games being both Sunday. Similarly I’m not sure if Wolves will be happy playing Monday night to then play Thursday in Turin. Their players will literally have recovery Tuesday and then off on a plane for Wednesday. With Wolves having their home leg on Thursday, a Sunday afternoon kick off makes. Then you take into account that Liverpool played Friday night and Chelsea played Sunday afternoon. Stupid organisation of games Would it have hurt to have moved Chelsea to Saturday last week , and have both Liverpool and Chelsea on Sunday? Same with Wolves, why not play it on Saturday and give them rest for Europe? We really do have a strange league
CollinsLCFC Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Did VAR really not overrule the penalty decision because its a female referee? That isn't a penalty. Didn't touch the player. Male or female, an incorrect decision is an incorrect decision and VAR is there to be used. 3

The view was it wasn’t a clear or obvious error ......I would have preferred to var official to ask her to review it and confirm she still felt it was a pen 1

davieG Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Never a penalty from those views. was there not a camera view from the other side?
