Yeah I'd go along with that, however he'd be £25m if we were entering the market for a domestic based player armed with best part of £65-80m. I think it's needless short term. I'd rather we chance Benkovic and Soyuncu and then enter the market in January if needs be. Surely both of their signings last summer were as protection for Maguire leaving, otherwise what was the point. It doesn't sit well with me of we stunt the promising careers of two players like these pair. Put our trust in them and use the money to make other areas stronger.

Plus we have in our ranks, a full Turkish International CB and a Croatian that has just been called up to the full International Team, both of which are cheaper options to what is being mooted here. Whilst I totally agree with you in relation to our current centre halves and the fact that we probably don't need to buy if we did sell Maguire, However, I wouldn't disregard buying players from relegated or poorly performing clubs. We have bought several good players from these types of clubs, Maguire from Hull, Albrighton from Villa, Evans from WBA to name three.

Really just saying we do not need to raid Brighton for CB's when we quite possibly have already two better alternatives of our own, if that is they are given a frigging chance as opposed to being stuck behind Wes and farmed out to Scotland.
