Spurs V Liverpool

Many of their fans went all "unlike you, we're a BIG club and it's our time" whilst they bottled their way into third as we romped the league by 10 points.  And would you really want Glenn Hoddle and Jermain Jenas to be deliriously happy on 1st June? 

 

If you absolutely had to, which, of these two evils, do you pick? 

 

For me, I'm plumping for Spurs. 

 

If they win the CL and Chelsea win the Europa League, Arsenal fan TV might be quite entertaining. 

 

 

I posted the above in another thread, the morning after the Spurs semi win. 

 

I've changed my mind. 

 

I'd rather neither, but on reflection, let the Scousers have their fun.

 

Let Spurs come out of this having only won the "being top for 13 minutes that time" vase.

Don't mind who wins, to be honest.

Both play decent styles and aren't dull teams.

 

Would be happy for Liverpool to win - based on that they have good, grounded indiviakds at the club current such as Salah and Klopp.

 

Alternatively, would be happy for Tottenham to win - have hardly spent much, considering they finished above Chelsea and Man United in the current PL standings and therefore seem to have a successful business model in a sport where £ moreorless now dictates it unfortunately.

 

Think it'll go into extra-time, with the winner winning it during this period (probably from an Alli/Kane/Salah dive).

Their the sort of club, who take the p!ss out of Man United fans for mainly being southeners, but the hypocrites have got the same problem, the Midlands and UK in general are full of Liverpool fans who have no connection to Merseyside.

not really the scousers fault though, is it? what’re they meant to do, all travel down to leicester and slaughter anyone wearing a liverpool top?

 

big clubs have more fans than people living in their cities. take the piss out of the weirdos who are from somewhere like cambridge but are “lifelong liverpool fans”, but not sure it’s really the young scouse lads who go the games’ problem. 

 

think it’s why i’m in two minds about whether it’ll be disgusting if they win or not. on one hand is the lads and girls from home who go most games, see their “facebook memories” of them in russia or bulgaria or wherever watching roy hodgson’s central midfield partnership of jay spearing and christian poulsen and think fair play, they deserve a big pot. but then the fans i know now from yorkshire etc. who are just annoying make me hope they lose about 600-0.

I f ucking hate Liverpool but them going from a 5th to 6th means much less than a maiden win for Spurs. Might watch it on mute though because the two media darlings playing each other will see the BT studio plastered in **** splooge

Every big club has this. People will hate Manchester City in years to come for having "glory hunters" just like Manchester United and Liverpool do.

Lot of fans going without a ticket, it's absolutely screaming for trouble to kick off. I appreciate people wanna be out there to experience it and stuff, but everyone knows about the Spanish police and their attitudes to football fans, particularly English.

I don't understand this obsessive hate of glory hunters even we picked up plenty when we won the league most have probably moved on because we've dropped out of winning anything since.

 

You then have those that want a bigger stadium so we can draw more fans to the club many who would most likely not live in Leicester.

 

What about all those current Leicester fans who come from foreign climes who post on here.

 

Can you even still be a glory hunter for a team  that haven't  won the top league for 30 years?

There's no logical reason why I am appalled at the thought of seeing Spurs parade the trophy. But I am.

 

Tottenham are the eternal bridesmaids. It isn't part of the script for them to have their "big day". But fair play I suppose if they do.

 

Please Liverpool, please do it.

I really can't decide. 

 

On the one hand you've got Liverpool who have a fairly likeable team and play fantastic football, they were only beaten to the league by an incredibly wealthy side who will likely go down as one of the best ever. HOWEVER, they have such an arrogance and some of the most cretinous fans around. Plus I can't cope with the likes of Carragher, McManaman, Murphy etc on every possible football based programme. 

 

On the other hand you've got Spurs who have done so well to make it thus far, particularly when you consider they've been without one of the best forwards in the world for key games. They haven't spent above and beyond their means like many and are the underdog. HOWEVER, it's just funny that they keep failing and I cannot imagine a time where they are European Champions, it's just not right. Plus Dele Alli. Plus Fighting Cock. Plus their arrogance during our title win.

 

Liverpool just pip it I think.

On paper Liverpool should win it, but got the feeling that it might be Spurs first trophy in ages at their very first try.
