Fox85 Posted 1 July 2019 Share Posted 1 July 2019 (edited) I would of said striker however nearly created a war against my self when this was suggested hahaha. We need a striker but equally need a winger but the winger would have to be of the standard of Ziyech Edited 1 July 2019 by Fox85

North Leeds Fox Posted 1 July 2019 Share Posted 1 July 2019 One will improve the team, one will improve the bench. Winger for me, but ideally we would go and get both.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 1 July 2019 Share Posted 1 July 2019 From a starting XI perspective winger is more important as Vardy is guaranteed to lead the line. I personally think we need two wingers & one forward. Ship out gray for me.
urban.spaceman Posted 1 July 2019 Share Posted 1 July 2019 Winger. Iheanacho is just profoundly low on confidence. I believe there’s still a good player there and I think Brendan can find it. Same with Gray, though we do need a top quality winger to come in and perform straight away.

dayday Posted 1 July 2019 Share Posted 1 July 2019 I would say we need both, if Vardy gets injured we are in the shit, as you couldn’t rely on Iheanacho
yorkie1999 Posted 1 July 2019 Share Posted 1 July 2019 I doubt we'll sign anyone else if we sign Tielemans

Suffolk exile Posted 1 July 2019 Share Posted 1 July 2019 Both really - but the reliance we have on Vards is a little worrying. If he were to get injured we would definitely struggle.

fazzyfox Posted 1 July 2019 Share Posted 1 July 2019 The age old "problem" is that we play one central striker with support from the wide players and Maddison behind, so any specialist centre forward is unlikely to get many or any starts. However when we are behind and chasing a game and decide to go with two down the middle it would help to have someone capable of making a significant contribution. A better option could be to put Gray, Barnes or Maddison in there, more central, and have a new wide player in their place for those 20-25 minutes or so, just to get an extra body closer to goal. The huge problem would come if Vardy misses games through injury or suspension. If he pulled a hamstring v Wolves after the window's shut we'd have Nacho and (presuming Slimani has gone) no option(s) on the bench. Unless one of the U-23's steps up big time we need at least one more CF on the books considering we're losing Shinji and probably Slimani. Someone who can do both like our old friend Kramaric would therefore be ideal but he'd expect to start. So my cheat-y answer is someone who can do both, who has more chance of playing wide but has a bit more CF than winger about them. Kram'imin! NewquayFox Posted 1 July 2019 Share Posted 1 July 2019 Quality winger in and hopefully Rodgers can get Iheanacho his spark back, depending on the Tielemans situation we could still need an attacking central midfield player...
Guest SO1 Posted 1 July 2019 Share Posted 1 July 2019 A player with the technical ability to do both.
Rusko187 Posted 1 July 2019 Share Posted 1 July 2019 We desperately need an alternative source of goals, whether that's from the wing or striker I really don't care. I fear if Vardy were to be injured then we really have 0 attacking threat!
Dan LCFC Posted 1 July 2019 Share Posted 1 July 2019 Winger. Ours contribute nowhere near enough.

Logically if 82% vote in one direction then the remaining 18% must disagree, given that we don't have a "Don't Know". BTW I disagree and voted Centre Forward, since we only have one who can score goals

Poznan34 Posted 1 July 2019 Share Posted 1 July 2019 Winger 100%. backup striker will start very few games, whilst a winger would go straight in over Gray. Barnes is good for left wing, but an upgrade on Gray would have a big effect imo
