urban.spaceman Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 All bought for a combined £20m. All sold for a combined £210m. One’s now a world champion, one's just won 5 trophies in a season, one’s a world record fee for a defender and the other is virtually retired. All hail the RudKING

foxes_rule1978 Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 There have been your great deals and some poor deals, thankfully the great deals have outweighed the bad ones... which is why we are fighting top six and won the title.

All hail the RudKING I hate to burst your bubble, but @LinekersLugs has calculated a total profit for the four of them of £5.20
Chrysalis Posted 2 August 2019 Posted 2 August 2019 this can be looked at in two ways. Healthy profits. Or examples of first team players been sold all in consecutive seasons since title win.
Aus Fox Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 With Maguire now hoping the list of players we’ve sold for big money and not forgetting the likes of Slim and the Moose anyone know our Nett spend since we returned to the Premier League?

Slimani bagged a couple of champions League goals in the group stages without witch we wouldn't have got to experience the euphoria of Sevilla. Well worth 29 million of someone else's money!

TheLittleBigMan Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 I think we've done really well considering how important those players were, maybe even got better, and we made a huge profit. Pretty much as good as it gets these days.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 It's great that we've made a massive profit on these players and (so far) managed to reinvest well. But the fact remains that all 4 players couldn't get out of here quick enough. We've so far managed to lose only one key player per season, but I can envisage Maddison, Chilwell, Ricardo and Tielemans all having their heads turned next season if they have as good a season as we expect. What then? Before you can say 'Mark Hughes', you're fighting for survival like Southampton.
