I think people read too much into the Kasper appearance thing. With how Kasper is as a person and was as a player he probably didn't give a shit about it.

If he didn't, I don't see why fans need to go on about it as if it carries any substance. There are plenty of other things to dislike Rodgers for.

You can’t see how that’s petty and manipulative? It was Rodgers saying that he didn’t appreciate him despite being an imperative member of the squad. Pulling him for the inferior Danny Ward wasn’t just unwarranted, he was playing childish games and swinging his d**k. There was no reason to do that. Kasper hadn’t performed badly and wasn’t injured. It was personal. The man is a ****.

Surprise addition today and thought he did well, considering he was awful for most of last season, and didn't appear this season due to "low confidence" to step in against one of the best sides in world football, in a match where we barely left our half for much of the game, he really stepped in and did himself justice. Really solid overall and confident on the ball. Hopefully this is the beginning of a new chapter of Soyuncu in Blue. Really hope we see him continue in the first team and maybe, just maybe he can find the form that made him a 60-70m CB.

Early days, but a few more performances like that and some first team appearances maybe we can convince him to sign a contract yet.

Close to 0 chance of him signing a new contract. And why would he? Another one randomly alienated by Brendan.

Doubt it was random.

I sadly agree, but we can only hope this is a turning point.

Of course only 1 side to a story

Whilst he was quite solid defensively,  he seemed to lack composure whenever he actually got the ball at his feet.

Perhaps it's lack of game time, or perhaps it's lack of ability and the reason he's been refused game time.

Rodgers such an odious weasel in his post-match interview when asked about him.

The smart thing is to say he’s hit a new level in training and the change in shape presented an opportunity to bring him back in and that he did very well for 60 minutes. You might get him back onside and at your disposal for the few games up until the window at least.

He instead opted to say he needed another number in the back line, Evans wasn’t fit and Soyuncu was “happy to play” but that he “started to show he was tired”. Not really even willing to venture towards a bit of genuine praise.

I’ll have to see it back but it looked like when he was subbed Soyuncu looked away as he shook Rodgers’ hand as if he couldn’t stand him.

When he falls out with players he really goes for it. I remember the other year he would constantly slag Iheancho off even when he kept scoring those worldies.

Was ok but you could clearly see why Amartey has been playing ahead of him.

Really? I couldn't fault him today.

Passing was pretty awful in the main I thought.

Only when he tried numourous progressive passes, inevitable that he would lose it at some point. The problem with big Dan is that its always back or sidewards, that's why he looks better at passing

Not true, Dan makes some good forward passes sometimes.

Maybe 1 a game of that! Out of all of our CBs he's the least progressive.

He did alright for saying he’s been frozen out all season. Not an easy game to have to come back into.
From Rodgers comments I don’t think we will be seeing much of him in the coming weeks though
