Caglar Soyuncu emerges as new cult hero at Leicester City

Recommended Posts

Soyuncu scored a goal with a nice header from a corner kick and gave 2-0 lead to Turkey against Norway. He's been absolutely a beast in the first half. He's playing like a true leader.

also Haaland is pretty much in his and Kaan Ayhan's pocket.

Will be interesting to see if he can stil help neutralize Norways strikers in the 2nd half.

Bar one chane by Sorloth, Norway have been completely harmless

Meanwhile, Ozan Kabak of Liverpool is supposedly sidelined with a flue or something. I think the coach didn't want to play him after his performance against the Netherlands. Honestly, Kabak was awful vs the Netherlands. He ducked in the second goal and gave away a last minute penalty kick after his attempt to stop  Matthijs de Ligt. The coach realized he was the weakest link in the defense and brought in a new CB and pushed Kabak to CM position since Turkey had already used all her substitutes.

I hope the "flu or something" isn't covid-19, can do without that spreading through the Turkish squad and anyone they subsequently play....and particularly don't want Söyüncü bringing it back to Leicester's staff. Worried about the Polish game as Poland have their 3rd wave of the Pandemic crippling their Health resources currently.

Kabak played the last 15 minutes. Why would the manager play Kabak while his team is up 3-0 if he had even mild symptom? Obviously, he also knew Kabak didn't perform well in the previous game. The manager brought him in so Kabak can build his confidence and learn a few things from Soyuncu.

The big boys will be paying attention & realizing that Leicester have three very good CB's. I don't think any clubs will be coming in for Jonny, they will be just wondering how City bought him for 3.5 M. They will be thinking that Cags & Wes are two of the best young CB's in the world right now & how much they will cost. Man U will be thinking that they took it up the bum with Harry.

I'd genuinenly prefer to stay at Leicester than move to Dortrmund right now, they might not make CL and will probably lose Haaland and Sancho. Leicester is on the rise and CL football is on the horizon

Bayern dont need centrebacks and dortmund are honestly not a step up, especially if we get cl and they dont. They dont win trophies and are a feeder club similar to us
