Slow, sluggish, unispiried, with some really under par performances. We don't deserve to be winning and if the opposition were PL established, we wouldn't be. Tielemans is having another quiet game so far. He needs to start performing. Vardy - good goal. Maddison - good assist but he should really stop taking corners and free kicks for a while. We look the quality team that's for sure. Vardy's goal was very well taken and for some reason they are giving him waaaaaaay too much space. He could well be in for another one. Hamza has been outstanding! Best player on the park for me. I'd even say on this form that against "weaker" opponents he maybe is in line to start ahead of Ndidi. He is not as good a tackler or as dominant in the air, but his passing and first touch is so much better, and you aren't ever scared he's going to lose it. He's been magnificent all over the park today. One player I'd like to see a bit more of is Praet. It's his first full team start against a very physical and up for it team, but the game has largely passed him by. Not really a surprise, but he's not really been able to put his foot on the ball and direct the game, which I think he is capable of. He has been OK when on the ball, but he's just not used to the pace of the English game yet. Maddison has also been quite good I think. One player drops in to provide protection because our full backs bomb upfield. This means on the turnover we have protection. It also means we have an immediate passing triangle when building from the back, as there is always an outball. Other teams can exploit this, like Mount did last week, but Hamza has a better first touch so I think is less likely to give it away in that spot. Sheff United isn't that poor - they're well organized and modestly talented. They won't be top half but they're no Cardiff or Huddersfield. I thought that was a better first half than Wolves or Chelsea, though still not great. We were pretty much imposing ourselves on them in the final 20-25 minutes and harrying them off the ball, but as usual struggling to connect several passes to construct an attack. I was actually surprised to see Praet playing so high up the pitch - higher than Tielemans most of the time.
