Ritchie out for months? I thought he had 3 stitches, what a baby

Ligament damage, apparently. Not a baby, whatever the merits of the challenge or otherwise.

Ligament damage as well I saw on twitter, perhaps that’s been revised down.

Ligaments then, couple of weeks max, modern footballers are wimps.

It much changed then... what’s that one leg shattered in the summer and Ritchie now our for months.

Lad has to be very careful.

People are already saying he is the dirtiest player in the league lol

Fantastic player, certainly gives Brendan a selection headache but he's more then deserving of this contract and the starts. Just good to see we have a player not afraid to get stuck into a tackle.

In fairness, can't think of anyone dirtier off the top of my head. Some Arsenal player probably, they're a scummy lot

Since Fellaini left, it makes the sense the new dirtiest player dons an afro.

He has proved me wrong big time. Saw him struggle at Burton and didn’t think he would make it with us.

TBF - Lionel Messi would struggle at Burton

Like the guy and am happy we've got him signed up long term, but he really needs to address his tackling ASAP before his reputation for it gets any worse. He's young and has made great strides so I am sure it's something he can successfully work on.

Imagine a core of a team that has Caglar at the back, Hamza in the middle and Vardy up top. It's like Leeds under Revy! 🤣

Pop in Wasyl, Davidson and Dickov from the club's history and you've got some real rivals for toughest team. 🤣

Great to see a contract extension, but we need to know more...weekly wage, bonuses, buy back clauses, relegation clauses, Coiffeur visiting rights etc.

The u21 challenge was terrible, but didn't see much wrong with the Ritchie tackle.

He will be a marked man by refs now though, especially after Bruce's comments. VAR will probably help him as can see on field refs over reacting and reaching for red cards because of reputation.

Another Proof und reason Why foxestalk posters, should quit trying to judge ANY players futures....

this Forum is pretty crap at spotting, even supporting our young wanna bes..!!!..

To be fair, there are a few ,who like me,prefer to wait and see,how young players can develope, and often can see something in a player,

that might give them a Chance of Finding and cutting it ,as top flight profi - footballers.

Why !!! we even give pensioners like Vardy & Evans Time & patience.  :)   ..

Like Chills,Barnes, we have found and dug out another talent, not short in Skill & quality, already at some level wearing the 3 Lions shirt.

Well done &  Welcome Hamza Choudry to the big Boys club...!! .:scarf:  At least your hair style is better than Caglar's..

With VAR,just be careful of the offside,we might lose a goal through a few hairstrands...

The Ritchie challenge is being over hyped. He won the ball, nothing wrong with that. Just a good old fashioned proper challenge.

The Prem needs some more classic style like that. It's become an almost non contact sport at this level and I think that is wrong. Everytime a tackle is made someone rolls on the floor looking for a free kick. Or has miraculously become injured. How would Ritchie have copped back when every challenge was far bigger than Hamza's was.

Don Revvy's Leeds would have a field day against the wetness of the prem now.

There can't be many Prem teams fielding three academy products can there? Delighted for Hamza. Tackling can be a bit naughty but it gets you out of your seat doesn't it!!!

Not sure VAR will be much help, I can see a lot of these calls being classed as 'subjective' so VAR probably won't intervene once the ref has made his decision. Case in point, as has been said countless times on his tackle, the intent to gain possession of the ball was obvious so it was almost a great tackle, however the follow through was inexcusable so a Yellow card was just about right. Although had that been given as a Red in a PL game I can't see VAR overturning it.
