The u21 challenge was terrible, but didn't see much wrong with the Ritchie tackle.

He will be a marked man by refs now though, especially after Bruce's comments. VAR will probably help him as can see on field refs over reacting and reaching for red cards because of reputation.

This shouldnt be a worry or a problem for Hamza..more the poverty with the quality of modern day refs, who make up reputations..

I agree with your first statement,I also seen nothing wrong with the Ritchie tackle, just a footballing mishap, with a strong challenge..!!

Bruce, the Newcastle manager was no shrinking violet, and a ex-Player manager coming out with damning statements,Shows an agenda or

lack of maturity for his job.  At his/this level ,knee-jerk  reactions from managers are also questionable & pathetic!!

Most  Fans, see such incidents mainly from a Bias front, but in todays  World I expect top tier Level managers should carry higher responsibilities

and even with high running emotions be above cheap shots!!!

There can't be many Prem teams fielding three academy products can there? Delighted for Hamza. Tackling can be a bit naughty but it gets you out of your seat doesn't it!!!

Would like to think that in a few years people might be talking of our current crop as the "class of 19" in the same way as Fergies lot in 92.  We all remember the infamous "you cant win anything with kids" comment from Mr Hanson and look how that turned out!

Unless i am missing someone, as far as I recall, the last time we had a genuine academy product make an impact in the first team was a certain A King, and he didn't do too badly either.

Another reason that the future is looking bright under the current ownership/management set up at the club.  I wonder what other gems we might see coming through in the next few years.

Wasn’t it after his second (?) loan spell with burton that a lot of people weren’t sure if he’d make it here. He’s honestly one of favourite current Leicester players

It much changed then... what’s that one leg shattered in the summer and Ritchie now our for months.

Lad has to be very careful.

I'll ask the coaches to apologise to Matt's parents immediately.

Fantastic player. I like him very much.

However, it's not nice to see him causing fairly severe injuries twice in one summer.

He's got to learn from this one and adapt. It would be very disappointing to see it happen again this season...

tackling what he does and what he loves to do, inevitably gona get the odd red over his career but his stats back him up, two of the best ball winners in our ranks, must be a headache for Brendan

Imagine a core of a team that has Caglar at the back, Hamza in the middle and Vardy up top. It's like Leeds under Revy! 🤣

Pop in Wasyl, Davidson and Dickov from the club's history and you've got some real rivals for toughest team. 🤣

I’d add Ally Mauchlin to that list as well. Took no sh/t.

It might...!!  At this point I dont see too much to worry about...

I See even his own Club fans ,getting ready to hang him out to dry, over every incident, every decent hard tackle, over every foul ,even over 'all day'  Yellow cards, then the Media will bounce off this forum and follow their Juicy agenda...

Strange Top Club, hard often more Dirty seem to have their free zone!!!

Lets not have Built a negative source from within his own club, recognize he can be hard ,intensive but not over the top so. Plus he has other  top quality skills, that should be noticed und posted...Like Caglar, for other reasons support your own..!! And Enjoy watching a top talent grow.

Sense speaks.

He’s is still young and he will learn. I think he’ll improve under BR and we have the right sort of manager that’ll get the best out of him.

Absolutely!  No need to change unless it's thought that he's either malicious or reckless and personally I think he's neither. Two tackles out of a host of good ones made have unintentionally ended up in injury, just unfortunate. As for the supposed 'victim' in this current incident, he was clearly no shrinking violet up to that point as according to the commentary prior to this he'd elbowed one of our players and made a dodgy tackle on I think Ricardo. Whilst I don't necessarily think that was a motivating factor behind Hamza's tackle itself persay, it may be on a players mind that they have to go in a little bit harder into a tackle when playing against that similar type of player ie would you tackle Modric the same way as Roy Keane? You can't allow yourself to be bullied in midfield.  Ritchie himself is known to like to dish it out. If you live by the sword ...

Great news, think he is going to be a huge player for us in years to come.

Him and Ndidi sat in front of the back four against the big 4/6 will be like trying to get through a brick wall.

Glad to see it. Hope he can go all the way to the top with us, he’s seriously talented and never stops running. The odd tackle aside he sets a fantastic example and could 100% be a captain in the future. Long may it continue.

Man U will bid 80m next season.

I reckon Liverpool would be the team looking at him. He's in the Fabniho / Henderson / Wijnaldum / Keita mould, and has two attributes that Klopp absolutely loves - high energy and great tackling. Klopp has shown he's prepared to pay big for such players with Fabinho and Keita costing big bucks. Now those players were proven at very high levels, which Hamza hasn't, and those players have plenty of years left in them. But I could see them getting rid of Keita and trying for Hamza for example. But thanks to Maguire, now everyone knows that Leicester players cost big bucks to buy!

Not his fault other players are going in half arsed! If you go in soft, you'll come out hurt. His tackling isn't malicious and he wins the ball. The fact this is being debated actually makes me sad, it shows how soft this game has become.

VAR does not change/retract a red card that’s already been issued by the Ref.
