VAR does not change/retract a red card that’s already been issued by the Ref.

Incorrect all straight red cards are review by VAR.

Reds resulting from a second yellow are not reviewed.

The Premier League is the first competition to do this.

I mentioned it earlier...its not the fouls,or red Card debate with VAR that worries me,

but a Good goal that VAR rules offside, because his Beautiful mop of hair ,and a few athro-strands are deemed to of Wafted over the VAR lines...:crylaugh:

Arsenal

What does it say that? Can't find any references.

Our league winning captain has a massive Forest tattoo so I guess we'll live.

i remember 3-4 years ago him being linked with Barcelona as a youth player. Most replies on here, including mine, were along the lines of ‘ u wot m8’.

Just goes to show  none of us have a scooby-doo about spotting potential! lol

report from 2016:

Tackling: Hamza is a strong tackler and is absolutely fearless in the middle of the park. In fact, he often goes into a 50-50 without a care for his or his opponent’s (for that matter) safety. While it is always a bonus to have an aggressive tackler in the middle of the field as he progresses, Choudhury needs to learn how to judiciously use his tackling skills so that he doesn’t get himself sent off.

His social media indicates that he is an Arsenal fan.

It was probably when those old tweets were dug up by sore loser Arsenal fans? He's deleted his old Twitter and made a new one since

I remember watching an FA youth cup semi final on ITV 4 some years back and we got humped by Man city or Chelsea (memory is not what it was) I think it was this game - https://www.google.com/amp/s/es.mancity.com/noticias/academy/match-report/2015/march/city-u18s-v-leicester-u18s-fa-youth-cup-match-report-11-march-5035%3famp=1

Hamza stood out by miles it wasn't just his hair cut his tackling and control of the game were superb.

On a side note is great looking at the starting 11s to see that 3 of our lads have gone on to be first team regulars and represent there country at u21 and one at senior level and none of man city's expensively assembled lads have amounted to anything yet. They won the battle that day we most definitely won the war.

Up the city.

Absolutely!  No need to change unless it's thought that he's either malicious or reckless and personally I think he's neither. Two tackles out of a host of good ones made have unintentionally ended up in injury, just unfortunate. As for the supposed 'victim' in this current incident, he was clearly no shrinking violet up to that point as according to the commentary prior to this he'd elbowed one of our players and made a dodgy tackle on I think Ricardo. Whilst I don't necessarily think that was a motivating factor behind Hamza's tackle itself persay, it may be on a players mind that they have to go in a little bit harder into a tackle when playing against that similar type of player ie would you tackle Modric the same way as Roy Keane? You can't allow yourself to be bullied in midfield.  Ritchie himself is known to like to dish it out. If you live by the sword ...

I don’t think it’s unfortunate at all, it’s his styling of tackling. How often has N’didi made injury causing tackles since he’s been here? He doesn’t really go to ground, where as Hamza does and goes in very hard, which makes it difficult to stay in full control.

There have been some very borderline tackles go his way (Arsenal springs to mind), where if he’s a mm or millisecond out he gets sent off because of the style of the tackle.

The lad had done brilliantly, far exceeded expectation and made many (me included) eat their words, because I hadn’t seen it in him. But that style of tackling does worry me because we don’t want to be playing games with 10 men.

I see the BBC and Cabbage Face are fvcking still on about that tackle.

Cabbage Face is a whiney biatch. Story from 37 minutes ago.

Well that’s just ****ing stupid. The leg wasn’t planted because he was sticking a leg out into the path of someone who’s already started a kick to clear the ball. It went a bit wild, but you could try not dangling your leg in front of someone clearly the ball.

The u21 challenge was terrible, but didn't see much wrong with the Ritchie tackle.

He will be a marked man by refs now though, especially after Bruce's comments. VAR will probably help him as can see on field refs over reacting and reaching for red cards because of reputation.

... true!!

On another subject, the news that he has just been rewarded with his new contract seems to be badly timed with the furore concerning the incident with Ritchie.

Really great news and great for the fans to see his development under Rodgers. it is always very satisfying for fans seeing a young player develop and progress his career into the first team.

It could have ended his career, I could have won the lottery yesterday, Bruce as a manager is fluent in IFS, Coulds, and Maybes, because he IS not that good a manager and needs to play the blame game because it detracts from his failings.

He is certainly no Benitez and I'd be surprised if Newcastle survive this season.
