Koke Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 These lot are a damn sight better than Man Utd in terms of personnel, so expect to see 2 DMs once again.
That_Dude Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 If he goes with the same set-up, we'll comfortably lose.
foxfanazer Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 We'll set up negatively and lose without threatening
RowlattsFox Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 If you want to play 2 holding midfielders then pick players Infront of them who are suited to the positions. Tielemans is not a 10 and Maddison is not a winger. Youri doesn't know where he is meant to be.
lgfualol Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 We are going to get trounced. It will be the same line-up, but Albrighton for Gray.
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 FFS, just want we need. I expect at least 7 defensive minded players for this. Quite sad how quickly BR is losing my confidence, I don't think Puel frustrated me this quickly.
Raw Dykes Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 Not expecting too much out of this one. I'd take a point right now. Would love to see us set up with Maddison and Tielemans in central midfield, with Albrighton and Barnes wide, but fully expect both Ndidi and Hamza to start again with JM wide. Would just like a better performance than today. I want to see us play like we did at the end of last season. We were onto something then. More cautious now for some reason.
CosbehFox Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 I think their result today may benefit us but I sadly see us being about 12th after this game and all the hope of the early part of the season disappeared into thin
Jimothy Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 Said it in the post match thread, if we insist on playing 2 DM then we have to drop one of Tielemens or Maddison. It's a tough decision, but that's what we have to do. There is no way of playing them both with two defensive midfielders that doesn't shove one of them out wide, where they'll float to the centre from and unbalance the team.
Shane Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 Schmeichel Pereira, Evans, Soyuncu, Chilwell Tielemans, Ndidi, Maddison Perez, Vardy, Barnes/Albrighton

adejo92 Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 I'm going for another Rodgers ultra offensive exciting set up. Kasper Ricardo Morgan Soyuncu Evans Chilwell Gray Tielemans Ndidi Hamza Maddison
Guest Kopfkino Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 It's clear that Rodgers doesn't trust Tielemans and Maddison defensively to let them play in a 3 against the better sides. It's pointless shoving Maddison out wide just so they can both play, he needs to be central because we look miles better when he is. I'd drop Tielemans for Praet, go with Barnes and Albrighton/Perez (basically the same player) for Choudhury and Gray.

RowlattsFox Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 Try the diamond if we're not going to play with wingers. Ndidi, Praet, Tielemans and Maddison. Get Perez upfront with Vardy.

Silva Fox Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 They're playing in Greece Weds night - might even things up a bit with an early Sat kick-off!
StriderHiryu Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 Depends what form they are in when they turn up. We outplayed them at Wembley but lost 3-1 which was a very unfair score line. I’ll go for 2-2 but we’ll need to be much better than we were today.
jeffschlupp Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 Put midfielders in midfield and wingers on the wing, ffs. We're at home, let's play like a proper top team and dominate them.

You seriously need to get a grip and some perspective.
st albans fox Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 Could do with son picking up a knock on Wednesday- they are so much better with him
Tielemans63 Posted 14 September 2019 Posted 14 September 2019 Let's not bother with Mendy, Gray and our number 10 on the wing eh Brendan?
