Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 13 February 2021 Share Posted 13 February 2021 I think Youri owes Wilf a slap up dinner. If it wasn't for his efforts, it was a taxi for Youri day. Didn't we liken Kante to 2 players? Today Wilf was 2.5

Sensational every time he steps on the pitch. Never thought he'd get close to surpassing Ngolo tbh but **** me he's good He stays fit, could well be our POTY...we are only just over half way...!! what? Posted 13 February 2021 Share Posted 13 February 2021 I know we've known how incredible Wilf is for some time now but it really is amazing that we just casually replaced Kante. We really do find the gems out there
WigstonWanderer Posted 13 February 2021 Share Posted 13 February 2021 (edited) He’s always been a brilliant ball winner, but his ability with the ball seems to have come on leaps and bounds. Some really fancy footwork today. As things stand I wouldn’t swap him for Ngolo now. Edited 13 February 2021 by WigstonWanderer
Jaspa Posted 13 February 2021 Share Posted 13 February 2021 Kept us in it. Absolute war in the middle, they swarmed Youri and so stiffled Maddison. Ndidi kept fighting for everything, dominating them physically and superb defensively, at corners too. Without him their domination for most of the game would likely have buried us. Also liking the new styled hair/beard growth. Makes him look abit more of a bastard, I mean he isn't one but it's good to intimidate. Wont be long til the biggest clubs will be bidding for him. Hopefully we get a trophy before then and we could possibly make sure he leaves the country so we don't have to gawp at him twice a year . . . better yet keep him here, because I doubt there's gonna be any better than him for a while.

Wilf is by far the better player I just think the fact Mendy was doing a job people must have forgotten how good and important Wilf is to the team. martyn Posted 13 February 2021 Share Posted 13 February 2021 (edited) His improvement on the ball is the main thing for me. Not just win it and retain it, but he has the ability to initiate attacks with progressive distribution. Kante used to do that with his mobility. Luckily for us, he still seems to be flying somewhat under the radar, at least in the media and fans of other teams who think he's just a very good ball winner. He is the most indispensable of our main assets now, without a doubt. Edited 13 February 2021 by martyn
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 13 February 2021 Share Posted 13 February 2021 We really are going to struggle to hold in to him. Any team in the world would take him, but what is his worth? 150/200m? Will have to be a premier league record I think
Ian Nacho Posted 13 February 2021 Share Posted 13 February 2021 He certainly has surpassed Kante now.
Glorious Leicester Fan Posted 13 February 2021 Share Posted 13 February 2021 Although wrong in my opinion, I cannot imagine there’s many teams willing to pay 100m+ for a DM.
turlo Posted 13 February 2021 Share Posted 13 February 2021 Our best midfielder by a long way today. Sign him up to a new deal asap as he's the type of player Man Utd or Chelsea are in need of

Sol thewall Bamba Posted 13 February 2021 Share Posted 13 February 2021 I've been feeling it for a while but current Wilf is better than 15/16 Kante.

foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 February 2021 Share Posted 13 February 2021 Without him we lose the game today easily, he just made so many important challenges... he stopped Liverpool in their tracks so often. Just unreal how good he is
sm1 Posted 13 February 2021 Share Posted 13 February 2021 How good was that pass to Barnes for the third goal. Sublime footballer, just eats up ground and robs the ball with his long spindly legs.
TWUKO Posted 13 February 2021 Share Posted 13 February 2021 He's a phenomenal player, constantly getting stuck in, winning balls he has no right to, anticipating passes and intercepting, he's always looking around at where the danger might be. A lot of out quick attacks start with him winning the ball or breaking up the play. He really is our most Important player in my opinion.
Popular Post LCCFox96 Posted 13 February 2021 Popular Post Share Posted 13 February 2021 Ndidi is a monster. With him in the side, breaking up play and offering stability in our midfield, he offers the the platform the other players need to play to their highest levels further up the pitch. Take him out and we struggle to replicate that dominance in the midfield in all of our games. It's no slight on Mendy, Hamza or whoever comes in next to Tielemans, just the fact that Ndidi is an absolute thoroughbred. 5

This is silliness. It's not a black and white world. The squad were in an excellent run of form when that came about. Mendy was playing out of his skin for a few weeks. The discussion about rotating a squad in flying form is worth having, but that isn't an indictment of Ndidi. Much the same happened as Ricardo neared fitness the first time with Justin and Castagne looking like the best pair of fullbacks in Europe. Should either lose out because Ricardo is fit? Nuance exists. 6
RowlattsFox Posted 13 February 2021 Share Posted 13 February 2021 Superb second half. Was poor against Brighton, which is why it was important he played on Wednesday to iron out some rustiness even if it wasn't a long lay off.
