City drop into Bottom Three (for costs to fans)

International Break fodder …

Some suits have published “the eToro Fan Financial Statement” analyzing the “hard costs involved in being a loyal fan” of each PL club.

PL match-going fans will spend an estimated £1.3bn this season, an increase of 31% in five years.  Travel and away tickets are have become cheaper, while TV subscriptions (40%), merchandise (21%), home tickets (14%) and concessions have risen faster than inflation.  (It’s amazing how they gouge you for TV when only half the matches are televised.  OTOH, tickets are cheap compared to major league sports in the US.)

City are in the relegation zone … third last in total cost … and when you factor in wins and points, currently a bargain only matched by that “other” City.

Jesus wept! Look at those North London prices!

:jawdrop:

They deserve to be the jokes that they've both become this year. No wonder their fans are so angry and bitter. Those 2 clubs are completely taking the piss out of their fanbase.

Aren't we just the perfect football club.

Oh yeah our £5.10 pints of piss are totally reasonable

They really are, haven't bought anything in the ground for about 12 years. Is there a justification for them being that high?

Must be the dog shit contractors we outsource it to, scandalous.

It isn't even a case of supply and demand as Bournemouth, with comfortably the smallest ground, tend to have the cheapest prices across the board.

So only Burnley have a cheaper season ticket than us, (looking at the cheapest adult season ticket) We go a bit higher on the expensive side, but is that down to hospitality season tickets?

Then we appear to pay London prices for food and drinks.

Wait, people are moaning that we're one of the cheapest teams in the league to support? lol FT has hit a new low.

Exactly. If anything this is more like 'Top 3' rather than dropping into the bottom. Weird choice of wording in the title...

Our food/drink prices are woeful, but the rest of this shows us in a pretty good light.

For me it's not the cost of our food and drink that's the problem, it's the quality of it.

You could almost justify a pint over £5 at a football ground if wasn't as shite as it is.

‘Corporate/ hospitality’ not included on that graph ......

What always amazes me is that smaller clubs have cheaper prices but need the money more.

I never buy food in the any ground, home or away, and I haven't took notice of what we charge for years. It's much cheaper to find a pub or chip shop which is what I do, regardless of where I am.

£5 for a pint is a rip off wherever. Even in a pub I wouldn't pay £5 for a single pint.

There are lots of good things about this club but the food and drink pricing is not and the quality and service ain’t either. Two areas the club should look at especially with stadium expansion under consideration.

Spurs have the joint cheapest beer in the PL....

.... stand by for the open top bus tour

EDIT - just noticed Liverpool's is cheaper. Never mind Spurs....

Or why can't the club try and improve the quality? It's surprising that for so long it's been ignored, especially when the club is so good in so many aspects for the fans. I could almost tolerate the price as long as the quality improved, but it's both a rip off and dog shit. Yes, we could all just not buy it, I barely do unless I haven't drank enough before the game but the club have high standards and yet the service and quality is abysmal.
