Literally there is no down side to this. I sometimes think you lot expect us to go and get Virgil Van Dijk.
Jaspa Posted 31 January 2020 Posted 31 January 2020 Very average player, can't see him improving the XI and difficult to imagine him getting much if any game time. A loan suggests it's temporary and hopefully we can get the more inspiring business done this summer

Says to me we still have hope with Benkovic, just need a body to come in, someone who has some experience in this league and can do a job if called upon. Not many players are going to come here to be back up, especially in January.

foxy boxing Posted 31 January 2020 Posted 31 January 2020 he's clearly been brought in as backup to Soyuncu and Evans and it is up to him to impress when he is given game time. we will be looking for a permanent centre back in the summer. this is just to tide us over until the end of the season.

Meaning Soyuncu doesn't have to play every game for the rest of the season.

The importance for us is Benkovic getting some football and he now is going to at Bristol City.
