Unless Cags or Evans is either injured or suspended he wont play much and will just help us through till the summer when we can look at better options that probably aren't available in January. Also, people slating Congerton, January is a hard window and for all we know he may have had 4 or 5 decent centre backs on his list but none were available at the right price as nobody wants to lose players in Jan. Demiral was a key target it seemed and he got injured. Not congertons fault. Unless we have a dreadful summer window then its premature to start slating our recruitment team

StriderHiryu Posted 31 January 2020 Posted 31 January 2020 For all those saying underwhelming the idea is clearly to have Bennet as a back-up option not to be first team unless he really impresses. Benkovic needs regular game time - IE every week which he won't get here, but we need someone in case we get a major injury. It's possible Bennet doesn't play for us at all if the other players stay fit. Not every signing needs to be on the Tielemans hype scale.
