It's quite likely we will eventually find out why he has struggled this year. It's probably a combination of things (I've speculated on a few, almost certainly inaccurately), but there may have been a single root cause.

 

I'm so happy to see him playing a good 90 minutes, it's like a weight off the shoulders, even if he isn't quite hollow-cheeked yet.

Maybe he's too muscley and needs to tone it down a bit. 

 

Maybe focus on running rather than strength.

 

To be clear, I know absolutely nothing about this topic.

Been mentioned before but I heard around xmas time there were about 6 lads playing with painkilling injections! My money is on tielemans being one, along with Maddison chilwell vardy Evans and Ricardo

Perhaps he plays better without Maddison 

As good as Maddison is it perhaps good that’s he’s out injured.

Hoping Youri carries on that masterful display he had v Sheffield for last 2 games he Dominated midfield he mastered plays was confident and in control in the ball so hoping this great form continues.

It's not that he any better without Madison having them both play no. 8 worked for half a season but opposition managers worked out how to neutralise that threat. 

 

Luckily we now have another way of playing as well.

Never heard that before but it certainly would explain a few players who lost form. Vards, Chilwell, Youri, Madders, maybe Wilf, at a guess.

 

Thanks for pointing that out, it was news to me. I hate the idea of injections, I hope they are more careful with them than in the past.

Needs help in midfield. Probably needs to be more forwards with two behind him. I don't think Ndidi does him any favours because Ndidi is so slow on the ball.

Like everyone else in our team he's so inconsistent. I think only Ricardo is a guarantee to have a 7/10 or better game every game, everyone else could either be a 3 or a 9.

At first i couldnt understand why we were so lucky to sign him. Then as the months have gone on, its more and more obvious why "bigger" clubs didnt get him.

 

He's a potential rough diamond though. At least no one is going to come in for him and we have the chance to create one hell of a player. If Rodgers is capable of that.

Yesterday, delivered a good corner that Morgan won and Vardy had a back heel cleared off the line.

 

Since the restart Evans, Soyuncu and Ndidi have missed some absolute sitters from set pieces (not sure if Tielemans was on them then though)
