Just flashed up that we are in talks with Lallana, hopefully they release him on a free now rather than wait till the summer.

Would be a great addition.

Where would he play? Could he slot out wide?

I don't  like these older player signings usually but Rodgers must think he is a top pro. I hope he doesn't expect to be paid on a par to the likes of Vardy.

We’ve made an approach to Lallana’s representatives apparently according to Sky. Just a no brainier if we can have him on a free.

@Albert suggested this was happening back in December, no one took any notice lol

Ffs. No ambition whatsoever.

If we allow him to Congerton is going to see us go the same way as Sunderland and Hamburg.

He's nearly 32.

Not sure how fit he is but it feels like a gamble. Imagine his wages are huge too..

Yeah because im sure signing 1 player on a free will be the only business we do. :S

When he's hot he's hot.

Seem to remember him being on form for England where he looked heads and shoulders above everyone on the pitch, even against high class opposition.

Liverpool aren't going to keep him on and none of the 'mega' clubs are going to take him, so he's not in a position to demand high wages. If he signs for us, it'll be on our terms at a wage which we deem acceptable.

He's a very good player when he's on it, and he'll provide yet another option we can rely on to mix things up, plus plenty of experience to pass on to what is a very young midfield at present. Can't see much of a downside to this at all.

Yes, but in the age when 10 million get you an average championship player, even on £100,000 a week it probably work out a decent deal over 2-3 years!

Plus we are cry out for experience in the midfield.

I know what you mean but we haven't exactly had much success recently with 'experienced' midfielders..

Silva, Iborra, Inler spring to mind...

Just go back one more season and you've got Cambiasso who was incredibly influential for us.

Besides, all of those have came in from abroad and had to adapt (Silva under extenuating circumstances). Lallana is tried-and-tested in the PL, English, and has worked with Rodgers before. We know exactly what we're getting with him.
