Popular Post Manini Posted 19 February 2020 Popular Post Posted 19 February 2020 (edited) We’ve made an approach to Lallana’s representatives apparently according to Sky. Just a no brainier if we can have him on a free. Edited 19 February 2020 by Manini 11
VLC86 Posted 19 February 2020 Posted 19 February 2020 (edited) Just flashed up that we are in talks with Lallana, hopefully they release him on a free now rather than wait till the summer. Would be a great addition. Edited 19 February 2020 by Costock_Fox
goose2010 Posted 19 February 2020 Posted 19 February 2020 No issue at all with this. Massive amounts of experience and get him a run of games he add compeition in the centre of the park.
Tanya Posted 19 February 2020 Posted 19 February 2020 Where would he play? Could he slot out wide? I don't like these older player signings usually but Rodgers must think he is a top pro. I hope he doesn't expect to be paid on a par to the likes of Vardy.

ealingfox Posted 19 February 2020 Posted 19 February 2020 (edited) Ffs. No ambition whatsoever. If we allow him to Congerton is going to see us go the same way as Sunderland and Hamburg. Edited 19 February 2020 by ealingfox 2 1 2
Izzy Posted 19 February 2020 Posted 19 February 2020 He's nearly 32. Not sure how fit he is but it feels like a gamble. Imagine his wages are huge too.. 1
spacemunky Posted 19 February 2020 Posted 19 February 2020 Wasn't it not long ago that he won English Player of the Year? 1

Collymore Posted 19 February 2020 Posted 19 February 2020 When he's hot he's hot. Seem to remember him being on form for England where he looked heads and shoulders above everyone on the pitch, even against high class opposition. 2
Simoken Posted 19 February 2020 Posted 19 February 2020 Great news!, the guys got a huge engine and great experience for our midfield youngsters. 2
Xen Posted 19 February 2020 Posted 19 February 2020 Liverpool aren't going to keep him on and none of the 'mega' clubs are going to take him, so he's not in a position to demand high wages. If he signs for us, it'll be on our terms at a wage which we deem acceptable. He's a very good player when he's on it, and he'll provide yet another option we can rely on to mix things up, plus plenty of experience to pass on to what is a very young midfield at present. Can't see much of a downside to this at all. 1

Yes, but in the age when 10 million get you an average championship player, even on £100,000 a week it probably work out a decent deal over 2-3 years! Plus we are cry out for experience in the midfield. Edited 19 February 2020 by coolhandfox 1

It's pretty obvious. What's changed in that time? 6
ARTY_FOX Posted 19 February 2020 Posted 19 February 2020 Will be a squad player because of the champions league I imagine but not really happy about it.
Number 6 Posted 19 February 2020 Posted 19 February 2020 Seems a no brainer on a free. Wouldn't mind Shaqiri from pool either tbh. 1

I can understand people being annoyed at Silva and Inler being underwhelming but I’m not sure what people were expecting out of Iborra? He always did a job when I saw him. 10

Besides, all of those have came in from abroad and had to adapt (Silva under extenuating circumstances). Lallana is tried-and-tested in the PL, English, and has worked with Rodgers before. We know exactly what we're getting with him. 3
