Happy Fox Posted 18 August 2020 Posted 18 August 2020 Zanetti junior or Jamal Lewis No brainer! This lad is mustard only Telles I would want more but he will be a fine replacement for Chilwell

He won't cost that much IMO, I'm fairly certain they'll accept less than that, probably around 30-35 million Euros. He has less than 2 years left on his deal too, best time for them to sell is now.

Seems inflated, as at Christmas he was being touted around for €25m, if you believe the press. If we were to sell Chilwell for £65m, I guess it’s all relative. Edited 18 August 2020 by FoxinNotts

Not horrendous.
FoxinNotts Posted 18 August 2020 Posted 18 August 2020 More excited by this link than the Jamal Lewis link. Must be because he is Argentinian 😂 in reality, Lewis is probably just as good. Funny how the football fans mind works! 1

Saw him a few times last year and he looked shaky defensively and not particularly composed in possession. Must have something about him if Liverpool were sniffing, but it strikes me as a bit of confirmation bias that "Norwich have good young players". Tagliafico is a different kettle of fish entirely. I'd go to £30m. 6
st martin Posted 18 August 2020 Posted 18 August 2020 How they adapt to the Premier league is the crux. This guy looks the biz, but like all our other signings it's a wait and see.

Ajax have been quoted in saying if a decent offer comes in, they won't stand in his way. I'd expect £25mill (~€28mill) would be enough to secure him, and he'd be a brilliant signing for 3 or 4 years. Giving us time to prepare Luke Thomas to step up. 4

Gerard Posted 18 August 2020 Posted 18 August 2020 I'm a great advocate of youth but this would be an ideal replacement if Chilwell leaves. A tough, quality LB who has a similar profile to Ricardo sorts out our full backs for the next five years with their quality and experience. Justin and Thomas to support and pressure their places in the coming years as well sorts us out in those positions. A new CB to compliment Soyuncu and Evans and our defence is good to go, maybe Benkovic is now ready to step up to challenge Evans and Soyuncu?
Pliskin Posted 18 August 2020 Posted 18 August 2020 (edited) Yea, I’d be well up for this. Bit more experience and also allows Thomas to develop naturally without being rushed in. This would make sense if we could sell Chilly. And cash left over. @Ric Flair I have my logical head on today. Edited 18 August 2020 by Pliskin 1
Dahnsouff Posted 18 August 2020 Posted 18 August 2020 Way way too much sense* in this transfer, so * according to a bunch of know nothing keyboard managers/scouts 1 1
Gerard Posted 18 August 2020 Posted 18 August 2020 Style of play He is noted for his "lung-busting stamina, excellent technique and continuous enterprise". As a result of his skills, as well as his playing position and club, Tagliafico has been compared to the Internazionale and Argentina full-back Javier Zanetti, formerly also of Banfield Nicolás Tagliafico Characteristics + Strengths Passing Very Strong Key passes Strong Crossing Strong Holding on to the ball Strong Ball interception Strong - Weaknesses (Player has no significant weaknesses) Nicolás Tagliafico's Style of Play Likes to play short passes

European competition experience and experience winning titles is always something you look to add when being in our position.

FoxinNotts Posted 18 August 2020 Posted 18 August 2020 Does anyone know if Calciomercato.it are a reliable source? Have they got stuff about us right before?
FoxinNotts Posted 18 August 2020 Posted 18 August 2020 https://www.chelsea-news.co/2020/08/chelseas-left-back-chase-end-circular-leicester-pursue-nicolas-tagliafico/ Chelsea already worried about how this will turn out 😂
Ric Flair Posted 18 August 2020 Posted 18 August 2020 He would bring end product and consistency like Ricardo does. Him or Telles are needed IMO. 3
Deeg67 Posted 18 August 2020 Posted 18 August 2020 He's beans. Anybody complaining about this as a possible signing is straight trippin'. 1
