Not sure how legitimate the source is.

Nicolás Tagliafico has been associated with several top clubs in Europe, such as Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. According to the French Le10sport , les Parisiens from England do not only compete with the Londoners regarding the left back of Ajax . Leicester City is also reportedly working on the arrival of the 27-year-old Argentinian.

Chelsea has been mainly linked to Ben Chilwell in recent days, who will be with Leicester City until mid-2024. The 23-year-old left-back is valued by the Foxes at 87 million euros, making the 'cheaper' Tagliafico also still an option for Chelsea. Should Chilwell still leave King Power Stadium, the current number three of the Premier League would be targeting Tagliafico, who has indicated that he is aiming for a transfer.

According to Le10sport , Tagliafico is high on the Leicester City list, which the 25-time international expects to be able to pick up at Ajax for about 25 million euros. This amount is not a major obstacle, according to reports, as Leicester City will qualify for the Champions League with the current third place in the Premier League.

PSG is also still in the market for Tagliafico, but is currently mainly working on loosening Alex Telles at FC Porto. Thus Leicester City seems the most concrete for Tagliafico, especially when Chilwell leaves, or so it sounds. Tagliafico, who has been active in the Ajax shirt since January 2018, is under contract in the Johan Cruijff ArenA until the summer of 2022.

can we keep Chilwell AND sign Tagliafico, have them competing and rotating at left back

Fuchs contract is supposed to be up, so there's definitely merit in this idea!

Not sure he'd accept not being first choice for whoever he signs for though!

If we get eye watering money offers for Chilwell then it's a good time to sell as there are a good three or four top class left backs likely to move on this summer.

Surely at least one of those misses the boat for a elite club and we can snap them up. Telles, Grimaldo, Tagalafico, Tierney, etc.

...madness!!!!

We need to up the quality of the team, Chilly's money helps to do this, we can replace him at £25m. We need to improve the right wing/forward the middle of the park and potentially another CB.

Europe or not, we cant afford to carry wages needlessly.

Now that's a name Paul Merson will surely struggle to announce..

He struggles with the name of our current left back. Ben.

I like Tagliafico a lot, only problem would be if he can translate his CL performances to the PL. He has such a fantastic name as well, not only is it phonetically pleasing but it translates roughly to "cut fig"

We defo have options in the transfer market if Chilwell goes, could go for a wing back like Kostic or Gosens as well as the names you mention if we sign a quality centre half and go 3 at the back.

Kostic Soyuncu Evans White Ricardo

I think there are better LBs out there that complement Brendan's style. He is good defensively, tends not to stay on his feet though. Offensively he is worse than Chilwell though. Slower, iffy crossing ability.

I'd personally be joining PSG in "loosening" Alex Telles from Porto. Or Alex Grimaldo from Benfica.
