At least he’s trying to do something about the being knocked of the ball problem

He can do all the weights he wants, it's partly balance, its partly mentality.

Much smaller guys than Perez stay on the ball more.

12 goals/assists in 33 games from midfield is decent no? Aside from a world class Mahrez, who was the last player in that position to do the same?

Barnes got 6 goals and 8 assists

Also some people have natural upper body strength. I’ve been massively in to weight training for about 29 years and have  seen skinny looking blokes lift twice the amount of blokes twice their size .

Looking like one of the relative losers in our current run of form. Still not clear where he excels. Wouldn't be altogether surprised if we looked to move him on next summer. Don't think he will go earlier unless someone pays a lot in January given our need for  a big squad.

Actually think he is better on the left than right but no way will he oust Barnes.  Good rotation player, and if he’s happy to be that, then good.  Nice and versatile to bring off the bench, but behind Under and Praet for for the right side now too.

Can he also stop making those crappy slo-mo vids?

His appearances last season were a bit like David Nugent the first season back. A threat but you were always wanting more.

He's gonna find it hard to get back in now with Under's solid start.

Games like tomorrow are a chance to get back into the mix.At least he'll have a point to prove. Good for the squad depth.

think that is really good comparison, some of his goals on half volley very nugent-esque

clearly a good player who works hard, but just need a bit more

think 30m price tag not helping people's expectations of him

For me I'd play him down the middle tomorrow to give Vardy a rest.

Iheanacho needs game time as well though, unless you play Perez behind Kelechi which is an option.

I feel for Iheanacho, cus he could play tonight, score a couple, set a couple up. Then Rodgers will throw him back into the wilderness. Must be hard to maintain motivation when you have so few chances.

I'd probably play them both like we did at West Ham away last year.

We need get the firing, only way to do that is game time.

You don't want us to win then?

Yes of course, but we have another 40 odd games this year that I'd like to us to have a chance of winning.

Over playing Vardy isn't going to help.

With careful management we get the most out of Vardy.

rotation is important, start Perez and Iheanacho today (they are more then good enough to play) and bring in later depending on score  any combination of Vardy/Barnes/Under ...

More chance of winning the lottery than predicting a Rodgers line up this season but I'm gonna have a go anyway.

Schmeichel

Justin

Fofana

Evans

Thomas

Choudhary

Praet

Under

Maddison

Barnes

Iheanacho

Thought he had a good cameo when he came on at the end. Caused Braga a few problems with his dribbling and made a nuisance of himself in the box too.

Yep, made a positive impact. Nifty footwork too.

When he came on tonight looked like a player with a point to prove. Great footwork to set up the assist for Maddison and unlucky not to get on the scoresheet himself.

just proves he is far more effective in a central role.
