This is mental. Us, United and Chelsea could’ve all won, we’d be feeling a million dollars but only 1 point better off compared to United.

I still think if anyone let’s us in it’s Chelsea. I’m resigned to defeat now, so anything is a bonus.

Just logged on, thinking where shall I post this exact phrase...

Sounds stupid but in a way I'd rather they had won so the onus was on us to win all our games. Obviously the way we're playing makes that unlikely, but because of the way we're playing, the idea of us playing for a draw at Old Trafford makes me sick with nerves.

Where at home....or did the irony fly over my head!

After watching us in the last 6 months, culminating in the biggest meltdown I've seen in ten years, I still don't have any confidence of finishing above Chelsea and United with chumps like Albrighton, Justin and Bennett starting for us.

This is what being a city fan is all about, never do things easy.I expect a win on Thursday, draw with tottenham........then a winner takes the CL place last game.

Justin at CB? Chillwell back in at left back? Obviously not ideal and depends on fitness but Justin has played CB before.

I believe he was playing CB until the Albrighton injury

Speaking of which, is there any news on the Albrighton injury?

I still believe we're gonna do this. Man United and Chelsea will likely win their next matches, which makes Sheff United a must win. We can do it, I know we can. The team has proven they can, and I think we will.

Man United and Chelsea then play each other in the FA Cup. The result could potentially influence form, and I think one of the two will miss out on top four.

I don't think Chelsea will beat Liverpool on their own patch, the day they lift the trophy. And I hope West Ham nick a point against United. I think they can if they need a point to stay up and United have fatigued players and/or are off the back of a defeat in the FA Cup semi final.

Assuming we beat Sheff United, and as long as we match Man United's result against West Ham when we play Spurs, we will go into the last game needing a point to finish in the top four.

It can happen. It's the Leicester way in fact. And remember Foxestalk, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies! (Stole that from Shawshank Redemption)

Not that I’m aware of - we’ve heard nothing from the club thus far, though from my memory it didn’t look it was something that would cause a prolonged absence, just ‘picked up a knock’ - he’ll probably be up for selection next game is my feeling, though whether he will be in the team anyway is another question entirely.

Pretty easy in 2016. And 2014. And 2009.

I was going to say this. Absolutely cruised home in 2016.

Still, I was more nervous then than I am now because in 2016 we actually deserved it.

Same.

I'm just getting a bit sick of all this 'bloody old Leicester, eh' nonsense.

Sometimes teams have bad runs of form. Or lose. Or don't achieve their target.

We're not special in facing hard times sometimes.

Get over it and snap out of this loser's, small club mentality. It's not helping anybody.

Got my hopes up again... Pls dont **** this up Leicester... Won 3 games all year and still top 4, this league is nuts.

Pls get it done next 2 games. I dont think I could handle it going to the final day of the season vs Utd.

I still expect us to miss out, just ridiculous how we've not suffered too much from that horror show.

Nearly as ridiculous as blowing 3rd spot might well be this season when 16 points clear of 6th in January but as other posters have alluded to, there are no guarantees in this roller coaster ride of following Leicester over the years!

Surely surely Bournemouth was rock bottom - the only way is up

Yeah, but we may not climb fast and high enough to avoid 3 more defeats ...

Not gonna do this to myself.

In 2014, 2016, the team had bottle and mental strength which are nowhere to be seen in this one.

Let's see how they handle Sheffield United, then we'll talk.

On a related not to this post but unrelated to the thread .....I totally despise the oft typed out phrase 'little Leicester'

Talk about self fulfilling prophecy

I've literally heard nobody outside of Leicester use that phrase. We've never been little. Rank ordinary. Unremarkable. Routine. Average. Dull. Yo-yo club. Too good for the champs but not good enough for the prem. But never, ever, little.
