Really enjoyed watching Carragher watching those clips of Ben White for the first time live on air but trying to style it out like he watched him every week last season.

Just as much as I've liked Carra use Lallana having lived in Southampton as "knowing the Brighton area". They're 90mins apart by car, similar to saying living in Leicester gives you knowledge of Manchester area

Just seen that, ridiculous how they get away with saying shit like that.

Give Martin Tyler is due here, he has actually bucked the trend and is just using Havertz last name in comms compared to “Kaihavertz” like every other bleeder.

It'll look lovely on our Ben.

It makes him look pretty buff on this NBC stream.  Almost like Marcos Alonso

I hate those penalties. He passed the ball away and then gets fouled, I know it will never not be a penalty but it doesn't sit right with me

Yes, he'd never have regained control of the ball if he hadn't had a reason to fall over.

I would love it if a goalie/defender could always pull out of that type of challenge, just to see if the attacking players dives waiting for the touch. Think it’d make attacking players look very silly either way.

Lamptey carrying on where he left off last season - he looks a really promising player.

Feel a little for Brighton.  Chelate look awful at the back - you wonder why they spent so much on attacking players and have not reinforced their defence too much.

Brighton look very decent again. Potter done a great job with them. Fair play.

Chelsea clearly a quality side, may need some time to click which would hamper a title bid but based on those on show tonight and some to come in they are certainly contenders at least.

Only if they can sort their defence out.  Brighton have been in a few times, just some poor finishing.  Better attacking teams will score against Chelsea as it stands.
