Zorya played in Lviv during their last group stage European stages - which is about as West as you can get in Ukraine

You're right. Thought I read they play in Western Ukraine. Checking the map I obviously didn't.

Very content with that group. One of the more winnable teams from Pot 1, avoiding some of the bigger powerhouses from Germany, Spain and Italy. AEK Athens will be a scrap but equally very winnable. Zoyra should be meat and drink providing we don't crash and burn in the outer reaches of Eastern Europe.

Shame about the long trip to Zorya, but we narrowly missed Lille, so I'll take that!!

It’ll almost certainly get played in Kyiv which is only a 3 hour flight. For everyone complaining about the long trip to Ukraine, it takes longer to fly to Athens

Wikipedia reckons they play their games in Zaporizhia, which is out east.

 

Having said that, flight will only be 4 hours or a bit less, it's not like going to somewhere like Qarabag.

I was listening to the draw on LCFC and they said that it's the match most likely will be played in a different city.
