StriderHiryu Posted 2 October 2020 Posted 2 October 2020 Personally I'd have loved Celtic's group. Playing in these competitions is all about mixing it with the famous clubs. Give me Milan, Roma, Inter, Sevilla any day. Still looking forward to this competition! 1

Ric Flair Posted 2 October 2020 Posted 2 October 2020 If we draw Luhansk first game away then we'd have had to set off this Monday just gone to get there in time by foot. 1

Again, all travel should be avoided to the regions of Donetsk and Luhansk because of the presence of armed groups. If you’re already in the area, avoid large crowds and demonstrations, keep a low profile, and exit the region. Consular assistance will be very limited in Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts. Just like when we drew Red Star back in 2000 - that was played in Vienna in the end. I think this will be played in Kiev or Lyviv?

I'd have liked a mix of some obscure Eastern European team, someone crap that was once a European powerhouse and then a proper test like Napoli, Leverkusen or Hoffenheim 1
mazarron fox Posted 2 October 2020 Posted 2 October 2020 Eastern Ukraine is only 3 hours Athens is further from the Uk

TrickyTrevLeftPeg Posted 2 October 2020 Posted 2 October 2020 Would any of these away trips have any quarantine rules/concerns for our players at all?

I knew the war was bad over there, but that’s a massive hole. Maybe we should have a whip Round for the poor people forced to live in those conditions. 5
Guest Bilo Posted 2 October 2020 Posted 2 October 2020 I imagine the other clubs in the group will look at us as effective seeds.

RowlattsFox Posted 2 October 2020 Posted 2 October 2020 Not bad at all. Certainly a group we'll be disappointed not going through in. From a fans perspective, Braga would have been decent but the others are a bit meh so not too bothered about that. Fingers crossed we get through and we can really enjoy the knockout rounds
kyleolly Posted 2 October 2020 Posted 2 October 2020 Maybe we should keep Slimani, Siva and Deidre send them for the game in war torn Ukraine 🇺🇦

With strict controls on who can come in/out of the camp. If the virus comes via the field of play, then so be it. But if we take enough measures we can probably keep HM Govt. happy... we're not the only ones after all. Edited 2 October 2020 by blabyboy
