adam Posted 28 February 2023 Posted 28 February 2023 Don't think we should be offering him a deal just so he is looked after. He has had plenty of time to sign a contract with us and he didn't want to. I'm sure he understands the risks. Anyway, he's only out for 6 weeks so it won't put anyone off from signing him. 1
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 28 February 2023 Posted 28 February 2023 Dreadful that we used to be a club with such a fantastic sports science setup and record on injuries, now we regularly have players being told to "carry on" and we crock them.
filbertway Posted 28 February 2023 Posted 28 February 2023 On the plus side, apparently playing on a ligament injury does no further damage. So a couple of injections and he should be good to play.
Tuna Posted 28 February 2023 Posted 28 February 2023 6 weeks out according to Rodgers on Radio Leicester just now. 1
Supergray22 Posted 28 February 2023 Posted 28 February 2023 I did a grade 2/3 on my ankle after coming down from a header in the box under challenge. I was out four months or so and couldn’t drive for ages. I wouldn’t be surprised if he only plays a handful of games more for us now if any.
foxile5 Posted 28 February 2023 Posted 28 February 2023 I genuinely think we've had the best of Youri and his legs are going. He's played so much and has just looked very tired these last eighteen months.
Big Dave Posted 1 March 2023 Posted 1 March 2023 I imagine that Youri will be out for the remainder of the season now. 6 weeks for ankle ligament damage seems optimistic.
Matt Posted 1 March 2023 Posted 1 March 2023 It’ll certainly feel like 6 months (and that’s being generous) if Rodgers is in charge for the duration.

hackneyfox Posted 1 March 2023 Posted 1 March 2023 So many medical experts. You may of course be right but it seems likely that he will be back beffore the end of the season.

Reports suggest no other clubs made enquiries for his services. If we have the same scenario at the end of the season he’s going to look a bit stupid.

Everytime i hear this over hyped world leading shit 'sports science setup' i cringe inside, honestly. I swear a majority of you think its like some NASA complex with robots and scientists in white lab coats. I bet its just a gym with a few apple ipads with graph bars and a AI papeclip assistant like the good old days on MS word. please stop blowing smoke up its ass, it aint a game changer. clearly... k thanks RODGERS IN! ithuriel Posted 9 March 2023 Posted 9 March 2023 Just wish we could have our sports science set up back that was like something NASA probably used to condition their astronauts
Wymsey Posted 9 March 2023 Posted 9 March 2023 Hope he doesn't want to leave, because of Maddison's performances.
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 March 2023 Posted 9 March 2023 Looks like we ain’t seeing much more of Youri in a Leicester shirt. Some of the pundits last night described Conte’s reign at Spurs as looking like it’s over. Epitomised in the performance against Milan. That reminds me of Rodgers tenure at Leicester. It just feels finished. Like the last days of Rome. The better players will leave whether we get relegated or not and IF we do go down, it could be the start of a long spell in the 2nd tier. It just feels ‘wrong’ and has done for ages.
Lambert09 Posted 12 March 2023 Posted 12 March 2023 i’m surprised this hasn’t been spoken about more but we genuinely miss him so much. We just don’t have anyone remotely close to being able to do what he does. we need him back asap 2

At very least there’s a bit of leadership about him. Edited 12 March 2023 by CosbehFox 1

There's large parts of our support that never realised we had it so good when we had it so good. I've savoured Youri's time with us. As I did Mahrez's (plenty used to moan about him not tracking back - talk about missing the point) Despite occasional dips in form, even this season he's given us moments of pure magic. Buzzell Posted 12 March 2023 Posted 12 March 2023 He’s a quality player. He gets stick on here but people will soon realise how much we will miss him next season when he isn’t about anymore. 1
Supergray22 Posted 8 April 2023 Posted 8 April 2023 I think we realise now. Anyone any idea how his ankle is? 1
