Like I said and perhaps others are right, are the tabloids gunning for him.

I think this is it - they’re hoping to stir up something sordid. If this is the best they can do they’ll probably give up and move on to another target soon. I hope so, because they don’t care if they destroy someone’s life in pursuit of their sales, clicks and ad revenue.

Yep.

He was busted by the police for having a party.

Rodgers commented before the cup final that he wasn't up to scratch.

He was dropped from the England squad and then decided to go to the casino despite having flu.

In a court case he was quoted about boasting about how much money he had whilst pissed on a night out.

And that's just the stuff that's out there in the media. There's plenty more too. Why do you think he employs the club security for him on holidays and nights out?

Pass this all off as him being young and naive all you want.

He didn't have the party

The Casino incident was ages ago and Southgate has said he wasn't bothered by it.

Just how long ago was the court case?

You've never strayed from the straight and narrow in your whole life?

Would you like to be reminded about it again and again?

I hope you're not a teacher, boss or magistrate.

It matters to me if it looks bad on the club I support.

However, I understand that some people are the opinion he's just a lad enjoying himself, whilst his pregnant partner is at home.

I would think that as partying 24 year old multimillionaires go (although my actual experience of that world is not extensive), this is spectacularly harmless stuff.

Oooooh I used to like those plucky underdogs Leicester City but I hate them now as one of their players may have been flirting with someone of the opposite sex whilst on holiday.

I hope you're not a teacher, boss or magistrate either.

Does anyone genuinely know the full context here? Anyone prepared to state categorically he wasn’t there with a member of his partner’s family or with her blessing? That he drank anything he shouldn’t? Tabloids sell a version of the event that sells. It often, (usually?), has little to do with the actual context. Who knows? 🤷

It's character assassination of the highest order.

I wonder why they have selected him of all people? Leicester is hardly the most glamorous club and Maddison isn't a full fledged international. I'm not really sure what they have to gain from turning public opinion against him. I find it all a bit strange.

I'd wager there's at least something to do with Grealish seemingly being the nation's favourite at the moment and Maddison being his competition makes it easy to paint him as the villain to drum up a narrative and shift papers.

Conveniently ignoring the fact that Grealish' behaviour since lockdown has been on a par with Maddison...

Wife, girlfriend, lover, friend? Who knows? His business. As long as she and soon to be child are cared for its really none of our business. Relationships are private agreements made by adults to suit their needs and wants. Who am I to judge.

....this is the reason Sir Alex chose to get his players into committed relationship and married as he knew the temptations out there!!!

I am not saying he has done anything wrong, just that it must be difficult to focus young multi millionaires into becoming the best version of themselves, and a certain Mr. Beckham did not conform to this doctrine, and was moved on.

I would say, looking back, perhaps every player mentored and coached by Sir Alex would say that being in a committed relationship worked for them, and also helped them to grow up as well.

Sorry a dickhead.why would you want to be away from your partner,  when expecting his child,  lost for words really,

Because he won't have the chance of another break until next summer?

You're normally expected to be there at the birth of your child and to be around to help look after your child. You don't have to be with your pregnant partner at all times.

The state of some people on this thread.

The casino one really annoyed me because it was the England medical team that chose to send him home with a bit of the flu, where he then went to our training ground and got some meds from our doctor, and after feeling better felt like he wanted to watch the match somewhere else other than at home alone

Have I ever been in a court case, had the police turn up at my house or been reprimanded by my employer for breaching employee policy? No.

Police at his house? For the court case or the party?

This court case, you're aware that he wasn't charged, it was his mate and he was cleared.

Which employee policy has he breached?

Perhaps you should write your comments in green ink, you're coming over as a 70 year old Daily Mail reading spinster of this parish.

People aren't really getting upset about this are they? It's got to be fake outrage. Man hugs woman shock horror!!! Maybe they'd rather they got dressed in formal clothing to cover themselves up before they hug. Or is purely because she has large breasts they can't see anything non-sexual in it. Is it just me or do others find this kind of stuff really tiring. It's 2021, with a pandemic, a climate crisis already burning the world down, an inept government in charge and people want to get upset about this lol, jeez.

Didn't work too well, a few became serial 'love rats'

Giggs with his brothers wife, Ferdinand supposedly had about 10 affairs, Rooney with his local trips to the bingo halls looking for some fun
