I’m normally a big fan of a screamer  but the build up and finish of Vardy’s today was too perfect.

The Vardy goal was amazing. Started with Justin pressing all the way in their half on the opposite side of the pitch, to Amartey heading the ball down for Tielemans, to Castagne back to Tielemans then the pass from YT and the run from Tim was fantastic then another great assist for Tim and an unreal finish from Vardy. Top class goal from start to finish. But Pep said we didnt try to play 🤷‍♂️

Vardys strike could be seen as show boating. I know that doesnt change the fact it was brilliant.

Maddison got his perfect, i wanted to jump up and scream but i was just like,

:schlupp:

I wouldn't call it showboating, it was just clinical on another level and an amazing piece of skill. That was the only way he was going to score first time from there and it was purely instinctive. Maddison's strike was unreal but the Vardy goal was just something else imo.

I disagree. It was the only way he score from that angle. Pure footballing porn

Praets and Maddisons goal were great but we see 3 or 4 goals like that every weekend in the prem. Vardy back flick following the build up takes some beating.

Vardy for me, not just for the pure skill, but firstly the pressing is brilliant to win the ball, secondly great passing and movement.

Yes great skill but Vardy, but its actually a great team goal too!

Vards. The finish alone is good enough for a goal of the month but the build up is superb. Every part of it is sublime.

I love the pass and go, run and cross from Castagne its ****ing world class. He's settled so quickly it's ridiculous.

The ball was behind him. It was genius, absolutely not showboating.

Vardy as I don't still know how he got elevation on that flick. Defying physics.

Plus he was running full speed with a tight angle and needing to, as you say, lift it off the ground to get it past the Ederson. It was perfect.
