Neither international breaks nor international matches doesnt make any sense to me. The international soccer matches are most of the time against weak teams, major players act restrictedly not to get injured.

What international matches do is to enfoster unnecessary nationalism which is not good for humanity either.

You could use the argument of anti tribalism against club football too, or following any sport at all for that matter.

Not bothered now it's Covid. Used to hate them when they'd get in the way of going to games but not bothered considering we don't go at the minute.

Would look forward to them more if our international manager didn't set up with 5 defenders & 2 defensive midfielders, when for the first time in a long while we actually have sufficient creative/attack minded players to make a difference.

Still, it's another game to watch on the box.

Out of 10  a definite 11.no need or sense in matches at present.I doubt there is any substantial Tv money involved outside of major  tournaments.Risk to players health  and injuries/stress but no doubt they will continue .Personally Id pretend to be injured and stay out of it

The Euros should have been cancelled this year as its going to be a whitewash without fans likely to be missing. We should have sprinkled half a dozen friendlies throughout the year and had a fresh start in the summer.

As usual, money talks.

Tielemans and Evans to play 270 minutes in 6 days. Soyuncu better not get some random training injury again

Belgium have Belarus at home in their 3rd game, hopefully they just play their 2nd string then. Northern Ireland only have 2 games in the window.

Music to my ears. I'd love us to do a Man U and say they're not going because they're injured/burnt out.

I fear Tielemans will snap soon I.e. hamstring ect with the amount of games he's played. If that happens I think top 4 might be a step too far.

Be easier to push it back to summer of next year and then cancel that stupid world cup in Qatar.

Sorry I got it wrong, Northern Ireland have a friendly against USA too so 3 matches. Hopefully there is common sense and no players who play in both qualifiers should play in the friendly.

Back in the 90s and the early 00s I used to love the internationals, I mean whether it was a break from some absolute dismal Leicester sides (Obviously MoN era don't count 😉) or it was the fact that we had the golden generation? I'm not sure but it was a lot more exciting back then. I mean alright you have your main tournaments, euros and world Cup which I do enjoy until the mediocrity starts to show but even the international breaks were exciting too. We were always expected to do well and with the bygone players, we always had that chance of glory which was obviously always hyped up in the media. Unless I've just got sick to death of the same old story of under whelming England players/coaches we have had over the past 10/15 years have completely just lost interest? Or is it the rise of Leicester city in the past 10 years that I need the fix that i once got from England? I mean I am no glory supporter but was it because England was one of the elite international sides and Leicester was that yoyo club with a couple of years of tasting some glory with O'Neill at the helm? Was it a breath of fresh air from the mediocre Leicester sides? But yeah I do get annoyed now.

My opinion has always been internationals should be bunched together end of season.  This is even more so during covid where it is important to keep the same bubbles for players.

I just dont see the merit in every month or so of splitting up squads for a week of internationals then resume season again.

For me get rid of qualifying, the year before any tournament in the summer have a small play off tomorrow, teams split into groups only play each once winners go to the Euro's and the world cup. Cause now your having wars between club and country, at some point players will lose the appeal to play for their country which would be sad.

It's such a huge risk even having international fixtures currently.  Haven't they seen the cases the 6 nations has had with postponed games. May as well cancel them and give teams the week or two off.

Currently I am not to bothered with the upcoming break, because obviously it gives an extra week for our big injury list to recover without us losing them playing, surly this is a rare positive international break

Time for Evans,Tilly,Cags.Timothy,Kasper,Wilf,Nachoman,Under, to pick up a niggling 'injury' to compliment the actual injuries to our other international players.Cotton wool.ice baths ,swedish massage, drop of brandy from a saint  bernard , and a giant pizza to be the cure,

Annoying for sure. But at least 2 of Harvey’s 6 weeks will be used up.  Sincerely trust some of our International players do not travel to far flung COVID hot beds.
