His re-emergence will help us massively.

He’s found some confidence again in what has been a dreadful season.

Who's running a botnet to rig the BBC match rating polls? 😂

Must have the whole family busy voting each weekend!

I think Luke will do well next year - I think getting him more consistent is key but a lot of that rests more on finding the right manager and settling into an actual formation. I've felt for the fullbacks this year under Cooper and RVN as I feel like every other game what they were being asked to do was changing.

really dont get the whole he has toughened up stuff. See how weak he was for their disallowed goal? literally bent over and fell down.

these things are all relative, its not like he's suddenly turned into Mike Whitlow

but I can see an improvement in his game

I mean had the ball not already have gone out of play the goal would 💯 have been disallowed for a push in the back… did his job 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah but he could of roundhouse kicked the guy in the face, looked into camera and said, ‘Road House’.

Dark forces at work again on the BBC sport app

Thomas scoring 8.92. Everyone else below 6 lol

He's been the highest rated for our last 6 league matches I think (including last season)....something fishy going on...

Just can’t see Thomas working in this attacking fullback role that Cifuentes demands. He’s not got the pace, the skill or the creativity I think it needs. Same with VK tbh.

I don’t think he’s a bad player, certainly good Championship standard. I have always liked him and want him to succeed unlike many of our ‘fans’.

But it’s not just about being good enough in that sense, I do wonder if he is unfortunate in us bringing managers in who are using their full backs in a different way. He’s more of an old school full backs and in a flat back for, with a winger in front. Whether he can do the attacking more centrally part of the role is the question mark.

That said, he wasn’t given the chance last time under Maresca and was shipped off on a horrific loan that was never going to end up anything but badly. He is showing positive signs in getting into the right areas, had some openings in the Wednesday game so I am happy to see how he develops in the role over the coming games.

Technically he's very poor, which is the reason Enzo ditched him, same with Kristiansen. They wouldn't have worked under Enzo as the inverted full back because of their lack of technical ability. That's why he brought in Doyle, who wasn't the best either to be honest, but fortunately we had Ricardo, who has stacks of technical ability, and was well suited for the role under Enzo. Cifuentes plays it slightly differently. He wants one of his full backs to get high up the pitch in an attacking area, and come inside to offer an attacking option, and that is why are seeing Thomas in some good positions further forward, but I highly doubt it will work, because Thomas just isn't good enough on the ball to create.  Cifuentes is having to try and mould a team which plays the way he wants, with his hands tied behind his back.  Enzo was fortunate to have decent backing in the summer he came in, and could bring players in that would be able to play how he wanted. Although the board didn't back him in January, which has been a common theme even going back to the days we were in the top 4 of the premier league under Rodgers, which ultimately played a part in us missing out on Champions league money 2 years on the trot.

Cifuentes has had no backing at all to this point. The guy must have been off his rocker to walk into our shiteshow!
