Other than a good cross he played like he'd been on the piss since Saturday.

Absolutely how I viewed his performance as well. He was blowing.

If I were in any capacity capable of doing so, I'd be advocating to the clubs analytics and fitness team to look closely at his physical status.

He's running with lead in his boots and we KNOW he's not that slow. His lifestyle almost certainly an issue and, given the nature of his profession, there should be some form of intervention.

It's painfully obvious that he's not fit and healthy in comparison to others in the same league.

Negligent to allow this.

There was a moment in the second half where he was tracking back to chase a player down and just looked absolutely knackered. It reminded me of trying to run for a bus after 5 pints and deciding halfway through that sleeping in a bush would probably be a more attractive option.

Russell’s comments are astonishing. I couldn’t believe he came out for the second half actually. Stupid foul after stupid foul, he was absolutely blowing for most of it, looks so unfit. The race he lost against their wide player did give me a laugh out loud moment though. He was so so slow.

It’s never been in doubt he’s got a lovely left foot but the fact he’s played so many minutes, so poorly, and then the manager comes out and says this is pretty depressing. It amazes me that he’s even a footballer, let alone played so many games for us. How low we are right now huh.

He can cross the ball well with his left but if a forward pass is on, he will instantly send it back and kill any attack and it gets reset and the pressure is on again.

Brain dead footballer with terrible fitness levels. It shows how far the coaching has fallen.  It feels like there is zero analysis or improvement with the only focus on passing backwards or sideways while your team mate is being pressed.

RM deffo has issues, calling LT intelligent on the pitch isnt true, how many times has tthe pleb given away stupid fouls when he shouldnt and used his left foot instead of his right?

its too many to count, all due respect to RM....I trust Enzo's judgement on a player over his and the fore bombed him out the squad soon as

It can only be ne of these two scenarios

“model pro” for Russell eg on time. Follows rules. Nods at every instruction. Follows every instruction despite executing badly

Rudkin sees him as proof of his academy legacy and insists he plays. Only Enzo stood up to it

Decent assist but he just needs to try to get clean tackles in rather than conceding free kicks. He works hard but he is struggling tracking back do wonder about his fitness. However generally the team looked slow yesterday with the exception of Alves and Braybrooke. The manager talked up the performance but it was Riis that won it for Leicester against a struggling side

No its scenario 3. Hes a higher earner and the board will demand he plays. Its the same now with Souttar,  Okoli and BDR. It was the same last season with Winks, Skipp etc.

Theres a reason the same shit players play consistently despite whatever manager we have and theres a reason managers are NDA’d upto their eyeballs when they leave.

Maybe the bloke could just run faster than him…..

It is sad how it has gone for him.

Moments like that cross last night show the glimpses of technical quality he showed early on but they have been too far between and obviously he has become a joke figure for his contributions defensively.

I have always been consistent in saying I don’t think what we see is a true reflection on pure ability but development. Far between players in their younger days than Luke Thomas has disappeared off the radar at a young age due to how their development has been handled and/or how they have applied themselves. I think development could be expanded to how his career has been handled in terms of personally as well given all the comments basically on here. I think there is more to it than the simply ‘he’s shit’.

Ultimately mental health, alcoholism etc are illnesses and people need support. This is another one on Aiyawatt for me. The standards are through the floor and clearly a non-supportive environment around the club. Quite relevant timing with the anniversary of Vichai’s death. I have said my thoughts on Vichai’s ownership in its own right, not being the sunshine and rainbows many make out. But, I will say, if he was still here, this situation with Thomas would not have been allowed to get like this. And I’m not talking about just binning him out, but the supportive side.

He doesn't have the physique, stamina and energy to be a modern-day full back, particularly without a winger in front of him and defensively he is poor. However he can be tidy with the ball higher up the pitch. Another good assist for him but keeper should be getting to that first.

5 goal involvements from LB/Wingback is genuinely good regardless of the opinion of him

5 goal involvement's from a crap LB...

In comparison to..

3 goal involvements from an attacking player in Will Alves, who people absolutely jizz over.

Absolutely fine thanks, just quoting facts.

Your digs at him are incredibly bizarre.

Surprised you haven’t already bottled it and deleted your post like you quickly did when he scored the other game.

Alves was arguably the best player on the pitch last night, whereas Thomas (minus one good cross) was abysmal, even by his standards.

Wondered how long it would be before the Alves human centipede came to life - you didn't dissapoint. Probably sat their shaking in frustration.

Its not so much aimed at Alves, its more so aimed at the likes of you who absolutely fawn over him and jump on anyone that has a different opinion.

Whats he ACTUALLY done thats put him levels above everyone else?

Or is it simply the fact hes a young likeable Leicester lad? Genuinely just curious?
