I was there at the end of the evening. The ‘abuse’ was generally people calling him a coward and asking him to come over for a conversation. People there wanted to be heard.

It’s clear the captain’s armband has weighed heavy on Ricky this year, and it was incredibly disappointing for him not to front up or acknowledge the fans other than those wanting autographs.

A couple of Asda carrier bags with a few emergency groceries would weigh heavy on him this season, never mind the armband

Even at his best he struck me as a bit thick with some of his decisions on the pitch. Not captain material. Making him captain on the basis he's been here the longest just sums up our lack of strategy and direction as a club. Just one more lazy decision in a long line.

I questioned whether he was strong enough physically for the premiership and sadly so it proved.

His injuries took there toil on him and he should have been released when he got back playing.

He been responsible for conceding a lot of goals this season which has cost us a lot of points.

Time for him to leave now along with the others.

There have been times this season where Abdul (on his side of the pitch) has completely lost it. I mean - completely off his head lost it. Each time i have seen Riccy do the bare minimum dealing with Abdul. There is no leadership at all from him. Even worse, the modern version of him only wants to play a variation on the inverted fullback role, and his legs are completely gone.

It was a tough watch that Ricardo was a target of the anger last night and he didn't respond.

In time I would be way more forgiving of him than I would be of nearly else connected to this season.

He was probably the 2nd best right back in the league behind Alexander Arnold before the horrible injury just before covid which really impacted us when the season restarted.

You cant deny his time has long gone though

The amount of times playing that awful version of the inverted full back role where a team has just popped it out to the wing and he's caught in the centre circle hopelessly jogging back too.

We have so many parts of Enzo ball we can't now carry out yet the managers employed are clearly instructed to still play.

Yes to all. Not a captain material, and never was.

Having him in the inverted RB position cost us needless goals and several matches. Another proof that Cifuentes and Rowett are dumb as ****.

Nice guy, great player a few years ago but not a leader at all. Been dreadful these past 2 years and he’s meant to have been the captain. Should have been sold a couple of years ago really. Probably one of my fave defenders of all time at the club though.

Sad how this season went, but that 1st full season under Brendan he was phenomenal.

And that moment at PSV is still up there with my best Leicester moments ever!!

Seemed like one of the good guys.

Never doubted his commitment. A joy to watch at his best. Maresca found the correct role for him yet managers have persisted with him at right back despite his legs going.

Definitely in my top 5 city players of all time. In his prime he was definitely the best Rb in the prem. Legs have definitely gone and its the right time for him to move on, but nothing but love for Ricky.

Long past his sell by date,  age and injuries have played a part but massively overpaid for what he has produced.

Another reason why we are in the mess we are.
No time for sentiment in football.

Be glad to see the back of the lot of them, except any youngsters.

Fresh faces please and players on an upward trajectory as opposed to a care home and spa

One of the very few current players that I don't actively hate. He hasn't been at his best the last few seasons, but long term injuries do that. I don't think effort or commitment were ever an issue.

An absolute pleasure to watch when he was at his best.

Cheers Ricky 🫡

One of the few I do like. Unfortunately thats the way football can go as you get older. Definitely won’t see a right back of his quality in the next decade at the club. So grateful we had him

He would be a bona fide club legend if we hadn’t dished out stupid contracts when he was injured.

It’s an absolute travesty the way that this has ended for him. At his best, one of the best RBs in the country, but the sh*tshow of the last few years has tarnished his legacy

Great in his first few seasons.

. That goal against Man City stands out.

He was electric in 2019/20 before Covid and the ACL hit.

He will be missed and I'll remember those first few seasons as opposed to the last 2...
