Possibly.  Though more likely doesn't need surgery.  Most footballers wouldn't be charitable enough to leave it until they're out of contract and on their own, even if they're packing it in.  I know LCFC Sheff was just speculating though, just don't think it makes a lot of sense.  Age has just caught up.

The instant the corner is taken and he see's the ball is going towards the back of the box he is straight away from the post and to the 6 yard box line

 

Have he and all the players been told to basically pack the middle of the 6 yard box as soon as the corner is taken?

He was never that good.

He often got beat out wide and dived in.

Although he was quite good attacking down the flanks.Steve  Cooper knew he was done,but he got binned off for RVN.

RVN played him and we went on the long

disastrous run with Ricky in the thick of it.

Should never have got a new contract.

I agree, he's been very bad as of late.

The amount of lacklustre, aimless passes are worrying.

 

It started when he was more and more caught out of position as a RB, playing somewhere in the middle instead.

 

Thanks for all the memories, Ricardo. But you are no captain material (any longer). Finish your career in Portugal, where the season isn't as tough as it is in the Championship.
