Leicesterpool Posted 21 January Posted 21 January Watching Ricardo last night, best thing he can do in May is hang up his boots. So sad but with his injuries and limited fitness he isn't up to anymore.

Or he just cares about the team and the match result?
Pliskin Posted 21 January Posted 21 January It’s so sad to see, his career has been hampered by injuries and I think it’s all caught up with him.
kiddo Posted 21 January Posted 21 January (edited) It doesn’t help that he inverts when he’s playing right back. If he just defended, he wouldn’t be doing so much running. Why do we invert anyway? It’s not like Enzo’s here any more. The number of times there’s half the pitch empty on that side is just asking to concede (Karlan Grant goal for WBA). Edited 21 January by kiddo 2
coolhandfox Posted 21 January Posted 21 January We lack structure which exposes players and lead to them being pulled out of shape and position, we also seem to be lacking fitness as a squad. Under a decent manager he could still be useful, having said that I would let him leave in the summer.
Stuntman_Mike Posted 21 January Posted 21 January I think with a new manager and playing more central, he would be enough at this level. Not saying he hasn't dropped off massively, but I think he's suffering from being in this 'team'.

He done the same for the West Brom Goal too. We need to keep Aluko in the team to gain experience as we're not going to be in the play offs. The same with Evans and all the young players . I think Fans would except that more than what we're seeing at present. 3

Totally agree, I think more people would get on board with us being mid table but giving lots of playing time out to our younger players that you could see we’re trying to improve them in order to mount a challenge down the line where as instead we’re crappy mid table while playing experienced pros who just don’t care 1
kiddo Posted 24 January Posted 24 January Love the guy, but not letting him get a free pass today. Wtf was he doing for the second goal? Last man on a corner and he gets drawn towards the ball instead of staying deep. Left Harris the whole half to run into on his own, and well, you know the rest. He’s still decent going forward, but he’s finished as a defender for me.
The Doctor Posted 24 January Posted 24 January legs are completely gone and his positional sense isn't good enough to compensate. Don't necessarily need the legs if you have the positioning to never need to sprint (see Maldini) but Ricky has always been one needing athleticism and that's gone
Popular Post Sol thewall Bamba Posted 24 January Popular Post Posted 24 January As Vardy personifies the rise I think he personifies the fall. Borderline world class at a point, but ravaged by injuries, stuck around too long and now just sad to watch. 6
FoxinNotts Posted 24 January Posted 24 January Given our current predicament, I would bring back Coulibaly, and actually play him. Put him in as right back. This is his level. 2

Sassuolo want to send him back as well Although I wouldn't be suprised at all if Coulibaly was just done as a proper cheap signing so Top and Rudkin could just say "look, we did sign someone so we obviously care about fighting relegation!" and he just wants to go back to Italy He just needs to give Aluko a go 2
Popular Post SafewayFox Posted 8 February Popular Post Posted 8 February I know that we have all loved Ricky P. BUT this thread not being commented on since the 24th January is criminal. If Thomas makes such an obvious mistake, his thread would have had an additional 5 pages by now. I have got to the point where I don’t want to see Ricky P play for us anymore….just start Aluko already. 10

LCFCJohn Posted 8 February Posted 8 February Why does he seem immune to criticism? He’s been just as bad as Thomas and both need taking out the side. I commented on Ricardo in the Coventry game but people seem to want to always shift the blame onto others and shield him. 4
teblin Posted 8 February Posted 8 February He’s been as poor as most this season. Very sad to see the drop off. 4
frany104 Posted 8 February Posted 8 February He’s up there for the worst player this season. Age and injuries have caught up with him unfortunately. Start Aluko from now on, Riccy’s role should be to mentor Aluko now. 3

Why is he moving to the CDM position when he's supposed to be our right-back? Leaves so much space open on his side. 2
LVFox Posted 8 February Posted 8 February I’m not even sure that it’s because he’s lost pace (which he has), but he’s lost that quickness of thought. It’s why he got robbed yesterday, why he should have been sent off at home to Brum, he’s just not sharp at all any more. Such a shame, as at his peak he was one of the best right backs in Europe and the best I’ve ever seen at Leicester, and even 2 years ago, was a class above most players in this league. 2
Guest Jonboy1999 Posted 8 February Posted 8 February Would have preferred Ricky P to come out at the end and talk rather than Skipp who looks like he’s just done 8 hours at Emporium. We’ve not had a leader all season.
