Just finished Matt Piper's autobiography, the latest of many by former Leicester City players. An excellent read & thoughtful insight into what happens when a career goes pear shaped (in Piper's case career ending injuries)

What is your favourite City players book?

For me, Steve Claridge's 'Tales from the bootcamps' takes some beating, This man has experienced many ups & downs in his career & tells his story with intelligence & self depreciating humour. Top book.

What's happened to Sooper Stevie? Not heard him doing any commentary for ages.

I have read quite a few and agree with #boots60 Claridges book was a great read, would highly recommend it.

Got to be Frank Worthington (one hump or two?). Not sure if it was autobiography or biography. The white tights Kieth Weller book is also interesting but, again, biography. Good reads anyway!

Probably Robbie Savages 😂 Think this club is a lot closer to his heart then his ‘wind up merchant persona’ suggests.

Micky Adams book also had some good stories. The club chef booting Muzzie Izzet to kingdom come in a staff vs players game the day before an important match was a personal favourate. 😂

I can think of a few I've enjoyed down the years, but I especially recommend the following

Over the Hill and Far Away by Ricky Hill

Wise after the Event by Dennis Wise

Cows' Backsides and Banjos by Adi Akinbyi

Does My Hair Look Good in This? by Robbie Savage

Burying the Hatchet by David Speedie

I Must Have Taken a Wrong Turn Officer by David Pleat

Wayne Brown Führer of the pack.

I've got 'The Steve Walsh Story' (which is a picture book as much as a biography) that is signed 'Merry Christmas .............., best Wishes, Walshy'. from when I was younger. They say never meet your hero's. I've played against him and some of his Sunday league teams over the years and he is pretty vile lol

One hump or two is just a sex diary.

Not a City player but Stuart Pearce’s autobiography is probably the most boring book ever written. I think I was given it in a secret Santa,

Just ordered the Steve Claridge book due to the glowing recommendations above, I already know I’ll enjoy it, after all he gave me and thousands of City fans two of the best moments ever in City history up to that point.

I was doing an event with Frank for this book. There was quite a queue for him to sign and one middle aged guy was hanging back and was last in the queue. Frank was wearing a green jacket and doing his best impersonation of a faded 70s rock star. So this guy sidles upto Frank after waiting for over an hour and says

"Frank mate mind if I ask you a personal question like?"

to which Frank replied yeah sure or something like that.

the question

"is it true you shagged Peter Shilton's wife?"

Not exactly autobiographies but the undr the cosh podcasts have had quite a few ex Leicester players on there. Some good stories, I’ve listened to, Taggart, Ben Marshall, Piper, Hume and Alan Rogers. All are worth listening to.
