Fair enough if you’re going to point it out, and I feel for any company missing out on money due to administrators only paying a small percentage back.

 

But at least also point out the fact there was the Wise court case, we were actually punished according to the rules of the time and banned from signing players and we didn’t have any TV money due to the collapse of ITV digital. Think every club now would collapse without TV money. It’s a completely different set of circumstances.

Leicester City are a “brilliant example” of how a football club should be run, former Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has said after he received an invite to the club’s training ground.

The investment into all aspects of the club, including into the new £100million base at Seagrave, shows City have the balance spot on, Wilder believes.

He was recently invited to Seagrave by Brendan Rodgers as he looks for a new job following his dismissal by Sheffield United last season.

Wilder said he had been interested in the Nottingham Forest job, but that has gone to Steve Cooper, and so his search continues.


However, during his time out of a job, he has been able to observe the work of other managers, and believes the set-up at City could not be better.

“There’s some really good people in the game at the highest level and I’ve had some fantastic opportunities,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live. “I’ve had invites to go to Manchester City to watch training from Pep (Guardiola), to Brendan Rodgers at Leicester. It would be remiss of me not to take up those invitations.

“There’s some fabulous clubs, some really stable clubs. You look at Leicester City, and what Brendan is working with and what they’ve invested.

“They’re talking about building onto the King Power Stadium, they’ve changed the training ground. I thought the training ground was quite good actually! All of sudden they go and splash out £100m on a training ground which is brilliant for the future of Leicester City.


“They’re improving their academy, they’re buying young players, but they’re buying senior players as well. The balance of that football club is perfect and a brilliant example of how to run one.”

City beat Sheffield United twice last season, Jamie Vardy scoring a last-minute winner at Bramall Lane, before handing out a 5-0 thrashing at home in what was the Blades’ first game after Wilder’s exit.

They ended up finishing bottom, 16 points from safety, and now sit 15th in the Championship table under new boss Slavisa Jokanovic.

Andy Goldstein on talksport just talking about clubs that don’t take the league and fa cup seriously. He mentions us as one of those teams. How can you be so stupid! We are the FA cup holders ffs unbelievable.

It also means he is having pretty much the same conversation as last Thursday and yesterday re. taking cups seriously.  Think I preferred it with Adrian Durham.  At least he came up with new things to talk about.  Also he annoys me how much he goes on about Man Utd.

Yeah it’s making me miss Durham on drive lol I know talksport is in the main just a troll station but Goldstein is just an idiot as shown with my earlier post.
