As a bit of anorak on the subject can you tell the 5 foot guard regiments apart?

Buttons mainly

Grenadier Guards have singular buttons to represent the first regiment

Coldstream Guards are in pairs (despite being the oldest regiment. Formed in 1650)

Think the Irish Guards’ are grouped in 5’s

Not sure which way round are the Jocks and Taffs

2 paid days off work is great. The rest isn't. You could give everyone in the country a good chunk of money towards bills and such with what they've wasted on these celebrations. 5 billion I read, what a farce.

What price mental health?

Suppose it's about " the feel good factor " in the nation.

I just hope its sunny.🤭😁

I loathe anything ‘Royal’. Liz, Andy, Joe - the lot of them.

But I have to say I was struck with how comely she was back here at the coronation.

Scots Guards in threes  Irish Guards are fours and Welsh Guards in fives. The plumes on bearskin are different too. For example no plumes on Scots Guards. The tunic collar badges are another way to tell. Agree buttons easiest way as long as not wearing winter greatcoat. The Welsh Guards were formed more recently than Irish

I'd rather have the 2 days off rather than a microscopic drop in the fuel bill.

I've always loved bank Holidays.

I'm surprised the government have let people put flags out sure there will be a campaign out there sooner or later, not very diverse imo.

I don't understand what you mean, why isn't it diverse?  And what difference does that make anyway?

Really CBA. Not really a fan of the "Royal Family". I get the sentiment and the fact that HM the Q has survived to this point and that she has worked hard and is an excellent representative for the country and well loved around the world. It's the rest of the pack that piss me off.

Still, it's the Queen's Jubilee and I accept the nation's celebrations. Just not something I'm enthusiastic about.

Why not? I've never been told I can't be proud of my country.

This. @FerrisBueller and others.

By the way, I'm on day release from Welford Road prison after saying I "quite liked" our Country.

Had I said I was proud to be British, I might have got life.

Worst thing is these weird freaks aren’t alone in behaving like this either. Odd world we live in
